Health is one of the unique features in DemocracyCraft, where players can acquire certain diseases and injuries. When players get said conditions, they can visit either a hospital, or a pharmacy depending on their disease. It should be noted that the Hospitals and Clinics are covered by insurance, while Pharmacies require you to spend your own money.

Getting Sick

You can get sick based on your actions, and your environment. For example, you can break your limbs by taking damage or taking too much fall damage, eating raw foods, or get infected by another player bearing contagious diseases

To check your current health, you can run /health symptoms in game to get a list of your current symptoms. However, this does not indicate what disease you have.[1]

Contagious Diseases

Contagious diseases such as Chicken pox, Common cold and Headlice are diseases that can spread from player to player, meaning you can get sick just by being near a player within a 5, 3 or 1 block radius of them depending on the contagious disease.[2]

Treatment

There are two ways to be treated depending on the disease, either by requesting treatment by a Doctor on any hospital or clinic, or through use of Pharmaceuticals available on any registered Pharmacy.

Hospital or Clinic

You can request for treatment by going to either the hospital or town clinics. Inside there are call monitors that you can right click to call for a Doctor.

Once you right click the monitor, all online Doctors will be notified. If not doctors will be pinged. A message should appear in your chat, detailing your current temperature, elixir influence, and symptoms.

After that, a Doctor will attend to you shortly, hopefully. You will be brought to a treatment room while your Doctor crafts your cure, after which the Doctor will then administer the cure to you. It should be noted that you should immediately (upon going into the consult room) tell your doctor you would like to pay out of pocket as it is automatically assumed you want to use Medicare.

Pharmacies

For some diseases or injuries such as Broken Legs, Mad Cow, Webbed Feet and Hyperglycemia. You can buy the cures yourself through Pharmacies. The list of registered Pharmacies are listed on the Main Reveille Hospital and the cures are be listed on the wikis.

Using Pharmaceuticals

When you purchase a Pharmaceutical, it is important to know that these pharmaceuticals are not regular Minecraft bottles or items, they all have the same mechanics on how to use them.

To use the pharmaceutical on yourself, left click while holding the item. If you want to use the pharmaceutical onto another player, which is illegal, right click while holding the item, although you should give the sick person the cure.
