Forest Fever is a common health condition in Redmont. It is non-contagious.
Signs and Symptoms
Patients who have Forest Fever will always have a Fever and a Rash, shown as a red glow around their body. There is also a 50% chance the patient will have a Headache, and a 30% chance they will Sweat. [1]
Causes
A player gets Forest Fever when they spend too much time in forests and get a tick bite.
Management
The main cure for Forest Fever is Doxycycline, which Doctors can make by brewing Hanging Roots and 3 Simple Cultures into 3 Streptomyces Culture, then turning the Streptomyces Cultures into Doxycycline. A patient can go to any hospital or clinic to be treated with Doxycycline, which has a $55 cost fully paid by Medicare.[2]
Another cure is Amoxicillin, which Doctors can make by brewing a Red Mushroom and 3 Simple Cultures into 3 Penicillium Cultures, then turning the Penicillium Cultures into Amoxicillin. Normally, the hospital or clinic will not give a patient Amoxicillin for Forest Fever, but it does have a $55 cost fully paid by Medicare.
The other cure for Forest Fever is Antibiotics, which Doctors and Pharmacists can make by turning 3 Simple Cultures into Antibiotics. This is not covered by Medicare and is usually not given out at the hospital, so patients must purchase it at a pharmacy.
