m This is important context. If it is "opinionated", it should be reviewed by another information officer rather than deleted. And the graphic adds an additional element.

The June 2025 presidential election is the upcoming 15th presidential election in Redmont. It will be held from 7 to 10 June, followed by the announcement of the results, and then the inauguration of the president- and vice president-elect on 15 June.

The left-wing Workers' Party of Redmont announced their ticket, with Representative Kaiserin_ as its presidential candidate and juniperfig as her running mate, on 24 May. Their campaign was launched on 24 May.[1] Because major political parties typically announce their tickets in presidential elections in the preceding month, there was question as to whether or not there would be an opponent to Kaiserin_. On 1 June, Bezzergeezer and JediAJMan declared their candidacy as the Liberty for Redmont ticket;[2] the pair were previously elected as president and vice president in June 2024.[3]

Background

In the initial days of 2025, an influx of new players joined DemocracyCraft, due to the reporting on the March 2024 coup attempted by the Redmont Nationalist Party.[4] This influx, known as the Trolligarch wave, is credited with shifting Redmont's political landscape to the left, notably establishing the Workers' Party of Redmont (WPR) and growing the Galactic Empire of Redmont (GER). In the January congressional elections, the GER–WPR coalition achieved a majority in the House of Representatives,[5] and in the February 2025 presidential election, its joint ticket won, with the WPR's 1950minecrafter ascending to the presidency and the GER's Yeet_Boy to the vice presidency. Following the commencement of the 30th Congress, the coalition collapsed, due to GER representatives voting for the centre-right Liberty for Redmont (LfR)'s nominee Bezzergeezer in the speakership election.[6] The left, however, has continued to win elections, including the February Aventura mayoral election (the WPR's RylandW),[7] the March Aventura mayoral election (the GER-endorsed AnimeInc),[8] the May congressional elections,[9][10] and the May Oakridge mayoral election (the WPR's Roryyy___).[11] During this time, the smaller centre-left the party (TP), debuted and secured its first congressional seat in the House in May.[9][12] The LfR has seen electoral success in general congressional elections but not in local or special elections.[13]

Candidates

On 24 May, Kaiserin_, a three-time incumbent representative and owner of Dragon Law Firm, announced her campaign with running mate juniperfig, the attorney general of Redmont.[1]

On 1 June, former president Bezzergeezer, whose vice president was his running mate, JediAJMan, declared his candidacy.[3] They served as president and vice president from June to October 2024, following the June 2024 presidential election in which they ran with the Patriotic Coalition of Redmont.[3]

Opinion polling and forecasts

On 25 May, MSMBS News published a pre-poll.[14] On 28 May, the results were published; due to a reported "skewed" audience, the network's owner called them "less than useless". Ten of sixteen respondents selected Kaiserin_ as their first preference.[15]
