The March 2025 Aventura mayoral election was the sixth election to elect the mayor of Aventura who will serve into June. AnimeInc defeated the Workers' Party of Redmont (WPR) incumbent RylandW 22–17.[1]
Background
RylandW and his running mate Sleepii_Sloth were elected in the February 2025 Aventura mayoral election on a joint GER–WPR ticket.[2] Following their ascensions to office, the other major ticket, AnimeInc and ItsKatto, sued the Commonwealth, arguing that Sleepii_Sloth did not meet the candidacy requirements, as they had joined less than a month before. The Supreme Court ordered the Department of State to hold a redo election.[3]
Between the March and February mayoral elections, RylandW had left the Galactic Empire of Redmont (GER) and joined the WPR. In the redo election, the GER endorsed AnimeInc.[4]
Opinion polling and forecasts
On 1 April, The Reveille Times published its pre-poll results, with nine of fifteen respondents selecting RylandW as their first-preference vote.[5]
