Technofied (joined 16 March 2020; aka Tech, Tuk, legally James Fletcher) is a Redmontian statesman, currently serving as President of Redmont. He is also the co-owner of DemocracyCraft alongside xEndeavour.

Early life and server ownership

The Redmont Coat of Arms, referencing Tech

Tech joined the community within two weeks of its beta launch. He soon after joined staff, and is one of the longest-serving staff members.

After founder and former own Jaynormous retired from leading the server, Technofied became co-owner in September 2020. He has served primarily in a back-end capacity, driving and managing technical optimization and progression development.

xEndeavour administration

Vice president

The first president, xEndeavour, appointed Technofied as his third vice-president on August 26, 2020. He served in that position until the end of End's term that October. As an early foundational political leader, Technofied set precedent for the expectations of vice presidents and the operation of the executive as a whole.

Bezzergeezer administration

Secretary of Homeland Security

President Bezzergeezer appointed Tech Secretary of Homeland Security in June 2024. In this position, Tech focused on revitalizing the department. He was succeeded by HellsideBurnton.

Secretary of Construction & Transport

Tech was also appointed the Secretary of Construction & Transport, where he contributed to reforms of the department and developed its efficiency.

Bezzergeezer Presidential commendation

For his work in these positions, he was given a presidential commendation.^[1] In the President's words, "[his] unwavering commitment to improving Redmont’s government is clear in every action he takes . . . His remarkable contributions deserve recognition and respect for his tireless efforts".^[1]

A god

Tech is often humorously referred to as a god, notably in Redmont's national motto "In End and Tech We Trust" as found on the Coat of Arms, a play on "In God We Trust", the official motto of the United States (note: the usage of this specific reference to Tech and End has fallen into disuse, and in official matters is looked down upon). The reason for this is unclear, however, may be explained by a combination of factors:

There is a constitutional mandate for staff and government to "have completely different roles and functions"^[5]
Although there is no explicit hierarchy between staff and government, the fact that staff have the final decision on certain matters, such as which plugins can be added, or the size of the map,^[6] makes them in a sense, a higher authority than the government.
The owners, Tech and End, have the final say on all staff matters.
Since staff can veto government decisions, and the owners are the heads of the staff team, they act, in a sense, as higher powers to which there is no course for debate.
The closest equivalent to this, in the real world, is a God.

Tukmas

"Tukmas" is a humorous term for Christmas derived from Technofied's name. The Tuk- prefix, which is also used in the name of St. Tuk Cathedral, is widely used in the DemocracyCraft community, and is often applied more broadly to Christmas-related terms. During Christmas 2025, server staff offered a free name change to any player who wanted to reference Tech in their names. Many players joined in the joke for the duration of the season.

Personal life

Technofied is British-Australian in real life, hailing from Manchester. In-game, he largely resides in Reveille,^[8] however, he maintains a property just east of Willow.^[9]

On 13 June 2020, Fletcher called fellow staff member Taelor evil. Dusty_3 agreed with Fletcher and showed disapproval of Taelor.^[10] As of mid-March 2025, this feud seems to have subsided.

Fletcher owns c656,^[11] which he successfully applied to be added to the Heritage List in January 2026.^[12]
