The June 2026 general strike, dubbed the 6/7 strike, as a server-wide political and economic shutdown that took place between 6 June and 8 June 2026. While it was triggered by co-owner xEndeavour's refusal to redact a player's deadname and his subsequent unilateral bans, the strike was in actuality the culmination of over 8 months of growing discontent within an anti-xEndeavour faction, who had gathered a list of incidents claiming End had violated "Staff Policy". The strike called to strip End of his server ownership, but ultimately resulted in a year-long agreement for End to abstain from "day-to-day operations".
Background
The conflict originated from months-long server-wide animosity towards End, under the anti-xEndeavour faction led by juniperfig. On 5 June 2026, juniperfig published a proposed bill on her Gnomestack blog titled A Bill to Change the ‘No Mixing Staff and Politics’ Rule, specifically citing an incident where End deleted one of her messages for "criticizing End's actions as both a politician and a server owner."
On 6 June 2026, juniperfig launched her "Anyone but End" presidential endorsement, publicly accusing End of abusing his staff permissions for his presidential campaign. In the post, she created the "Longest Ballot Protest" — calling for participants to overwhelm the election ballot to disrupt the system, "Find a Vice President, declare as soon as you can, and drown out the campaigns until the server is nearly unplayable."
Around the same time, Representative JuliaMC_ opened a staff support ticket requesting to have her former deadname redacted from her forum account's "Prior Nicknames" list, as Technofied had already previously done so for Sofia2750. Talion77 initially responded that he would check whether the removal was possible, but xEndeavour intervened and refused the request, claiming there were "100s of pieces of content" tied to the name and that staff had a "genuine reason" to keep the record intact. When another staff member, Eenza, requested that Talion77 review the decision, xEndeavour deleted the message and informed JuliaMC_ that she was not permitted to appeal to another staff member. This led to JuliaMC_’s resignation from the House of Representatives.[1][2]
Initial Anti-xEndeavour incident
The anti-xEndeavour faction used Julia's deadname ticket as the final breaking point of a months-long pattern of xEndeavour's staff abuse, and launched a campaign to oust xEndeavour from power. Suggestion threads were created in the Discord server that urged xEndeavour to either resign or be removed by Technofied. juniperfig later admitted in direct messages with xEndeavour that the incident around Julia's deadname was "added to the pile" of End's abuses.
xEndeavour unilaterally issued permanent bans against JuliaMC_, Cassie45806, TheSnowGuardian and pricelessAgrari on the server's punishment directory with "No reason stated." xEndeavour had stripped senior staff of their manager permissions, and temporarily seized control of the Discord server.
Co-owner Technofied intervened, securing the server files and console, and negotiated a "Joint Decision-Making Agreement" on 7 June. Technofied's announcement confirmed that he had redacted the deadname himself, and that both owners were now under a new agreement to resolve disputes.[2]
Subsequent protests

The initial agreement failed to restore trust. Within hours of the announcement, xEndeavour ignored the agreement and issued a second round of permanent in-game and Discord bans against JuliaMC_ and Cassie45806, citing "harassment."
In response, the Workers' Party of Redmont officially declared a general strike, calling for a total economic and political shutdown of the server. The party encouraged its members "to walk away from their obligations to their government posts." juniperfig published a post titled "General Strike Now" where she stated that "Only one avenue exists to punish the owners for their missteps: Making the server's reputation suffer."
Protesters gathered at the Reveille spawn, election polls and outside Capitol Station repeating slogans such as "END TO END" and "UNBAN THE INNOCENT."
Participants

At the beginning of the actions, Representative PluraGlasshouse (PCP) called for members of Congress to join the strike. Senator Johnes condemned xEndeavour's actions but disagreed with Plura's solution;[3] Representative Stanley582 concurred.[4] Representative Gluonmaster (TE) stated she was "sympathetic to Plura's cause" but "on the fence with whether congress should strike."[5] Server co-owner Technofied issued a statement explaining what had happened.[2] A formal suggestion was made to "unban members involved in the incident", receiving 79 ayes as of 11:14 pm UTC.[6]
On 7 June, Secretary of Education Smami advised all department employees to halt unnecessary activity[7] and subsequently announced this to the public.[8] Less than an hour later, the Workers' Party of Redmont officially endorsed the strike and The party demanded "amnesty or reduction of punishment" for those banned and deported in the 24 hours previous — namely Cassie45806, JuliaMC_ and TheSnowGuardian — and for the resignation of xEndeavour from the staff team.[9] Vice Chair of the Central Committee (CC) TheWrench01 then motioned to remove Technofied from the CC.[10]
Attorney General Superwoops issued a statement promising "swift legal action" against electoral officers who attempted to administer the Presidential elections while participating in juniperfig's "Longest Ballot Protest". Because all members of the Department of State had been declared as someone's running mate, the elections came to a standstill.[11] The Longest Ballot Protest, which saw the founding of a namesake political party, predates the controversy in question.[12]

President of the Senate Talion77 (TP) and Speaker of the House xXTheoryXx (WPR) announced that they had each requested President Technofied dissolve the 37th Senate[13] and the 37th House of Representatives.[14]
As this unfolded, #campaign was filled with anti-xEndeavour and pro-strike content.[15] Calls for a "total boycott" emerged.[16] In-game protests at spawn and the Capitol took place. [17]
juniperfig demanded the ongoing Multiman155 presidential campaign cancel its rally that day in support of the protests,[18] The Multiman155 rally converted into a rally in favor of the general strike.
Mayor Budgiebud declared the secession of Aventura[19] and Sofia2750 opened a non-binding poll on Oakridge independence;[20] a militia of Aventurians led by ZxRiptide began storming federal government offices in Reveille (including the House of Representatives chambers[21] and the Department of Homeland Security[22]) and robbing the bank.[23]

A GnomeFundMe campaign was launched by _GreyMC, a member of the UJP, to financially support employees of government departments; as of 7 June at 10:53 pm UTC, it has raised $15,810.31, including some from JuliaMC_.[24][25] Later, the Department of Health officially shut down,[26] but continued services for prisoners at Revcatraz.[27] Earlier, the Department of the Interior also joined the strike[28] and the Federal Court announced an administrative leave.[29] Redmont's Economic News boldly stated that "Redmont is in shambles and in an [sic] collapse" and that the Aventurian militia was killing people near spawn;[30] At 8:44 pm UTC, the Department of Homeland Security ceased operations, meaning the nation's police force is inactive.[31] The wiki page about the strike was made the month's featured article in the same day, replacing that about Technofied's February 2026 presidential campaign; juniperfig was made the featured player, replacing Raz0Baz0;[32] updates to the wiki regarding the strike were the only tasks carried out by the Department of Education.[33] The Department of Construction and Transport finally joined the strike around 12:40 am UTC on 8 June,[34] while the Department of Justice de facto struck.[35]
At 1:14 pm UTC, Secretary of State A__C announced that the presidential election had been delayed due to the Longest Ballot Protest, which saw every electoral officer deemed impartial.[36] Less than an hour and a half later, Technofied announced that xEndeavour had been removed from the staff team,[37] and subsequently, that elections and governing bodies were paused indefinitely.[38] Redmont News Network falsely reported that the strike was lifting, and then corrected itself by stating the strike was "expected to lift in the foreseeable future."[39]

Opposition
An op-ed by Dartanman expressed opposition to xEndeavour's actions and to the strike. It was harshly received.[54] He again called for the strike to end in a follow-up article.[55]
Agreement and aftermath
At 12:11 pm, it was announced that xEndeavour would not participate in day-to-day operations of the server for one year's time.[56] xEndeavour then issued a formal apology for his behaviour.[57] At 12:21 pm, President Technofied announced that he was refusing to dissolve either chamber of Congress.[58] This was followed by a slew of departments resuming their normal operations.[59][35][60][61][62]
Staff voided all candidates in the presidential election who declared during the strike, ending the delay in poll openings.[63] xEndeavour dropped out of the race.[64]
The Trans+ Network, initially founded during the protests, later gained significant support for organizing the servers' trans community, earning over $500k on GnomeFundMe.
