Prosecutors are responsible for the legal defense and prosecution on behalf of the Commonwealth of Redmont. They are supportive staff to the Attorney General, working closely with law enforcement and government entities to represent them on their behalf. Prosecutors work in the Department of Justice

Duties

Prosecutors are charged with a variety of duties, including:

Creative Defenses and Precedent Research - Support the Attorney General in lawsuits against the government. - Develop creative arguments and analyze various ways to defend the government. - Find precedent in different cases to support arguments.

Legal Advisory - Provide legal advice to the government, including potential lawsuits and questions about the constitutionality of laws. - Use the Acts of Congress to cite statute law in arguments.

Court Conduct and Procedure - Comply with and respect court procedures at all times. - Respect the authority of the presiding judge and avoid speaking out of turn. - Court procedures can be found here.

Protocols

Confidentiality - Prosecutors are not permitted to share classified information about cases or investigations.

Bias and Conflict of Interest - Prosecutors must exclude themselves from government cases in which they may have a conflict of interest.

Application Process

To apply for the Prosecutor position, you need to complete an application on the forums.

  3. Fill in your details and submit the application.
