The Town of Arsky was a township in Oakridge[1][2] that existed from October 2021 to December 2022. It was officially recognised by Oakridge.[3]
History
Arsky was founded by baole444 and TommysToe on 2 October 2021.[4][5] Evidence shows Arsky was already well-known and established by late 2021.[2][6][7]
On 29 October 2021, Mayor of Oakridge 1950minecrafter[8] signed a town bill to declare Arsky a historic site and district of Oakridge.[9] The bill also mandated that the government of Arsky could only maintain control of the territory of Arsky until Oakridge was fully able to claim its territory, after which the Oakridge Town Council would have "full jurisdiction over Arsky" .[9][10] Under the provisions of this bill, Arsky was claimed on 22 December 2021.[11]
On 10 November 2022, Mayor of Oakridge Galavance finalised plans to remove Arsky. This was set in motion, starting by proposing the district to convert all its historical buildings to match Oakridge's theme. Arsky had to produce a document clarifying it's standing.[12] Many round of negotiation happened, involving the proposal of moving Arsky to Willow.[13] The plan was put on halt as the news was disclosed to the public.[14] On 19 December 2022, Arsky was fully removed from Oakridge, replaced by the current valley, which was met with some criticism by the town's founder, baole444.[15]
As of current, some builds from Arsky was recovered and incorporated into Arsky Historic Harbor of Oakridge as a way to commemorate this bygone district.
