MSMBS News is a Redmontian newspaper known for its political reporting. It was founded in April 2025 by Sofia2750 and launched on the 21st.
Reporting
Biases and opinions
As MSMBS is an independent organisation operated by one individual, Sofia's personal opinions have been included in some reporting, including support for the Workers' Party of Redmont (WPR). On 25 April 2025, it published an article titled "End slammed after scapegoating WPR for no apparent reason, like seriously bro why did you do this".[1]
In a prediction of the May 2025 Oakridge mayoral election, Sofia opined, "Looking at the recent house and local elections, it has become clear that Oakridge is now WPR controlled."[2] She has also doubted the survival of the Galactic Empire of Redmont "through the end of the year".[3]
Election pre-polling and forecasts
In May it predicted that the WPR's Roryyy___ would win that month's mayoral election in Oakridge in a landslide. Although Roryyy___ won the election, the results were closer than MSMBS News predicted.[2]
Later in the month, it began pre-polling for the June 2025 presidential election.[4]
