He was confirmed as a Federal Court judge on 4 July 2026; from 11 June to 12 July 2024 he served as the chief justice of the Supreme Court under President GoldBlooded. Dartanman opposed the June 2026 general strike and used the RNN to advocate against it.[3][4] On 18 June, he launched his own "Build Back Better"[5] campaign in a special House election as the Progressive Conservative candidate; he received four of 176 valid votes, tying for 10th place.[6] Later in the month, he criticised the 37th Congress: "Reactionary lawmaking just leads to bad laws. . . . usually it results in weird statutes that were really meant to target someone."[7] Also in June he encouraged Ameslap to express interest in becoming a public defender.[8]
On 20 July he founded the Redmontians for Redmont party for "the prosperity, preservation, and protection of our Commonwealth".[9]
