AndreyMia (joined 28 December 2020[1][2]), also known as Andrey or Mia, was an influential attorney and politician who served as the speaker of the House from 14 June to 10 July 2021 and as vice president of the New Coalition Party (NCP).[2][3] A member of the Democratic Reformist Party (DRP), he also served as the deputy speaker of the 8th House of Representatives.
Career
Andrey became an event coordinator on 28 January 2021.[3] He held this position until 28 July that year (six months).[2] From April to November 2021, he was the chief operations officer at Spectre Industries.[2]
Political career
AndreyMia, a member of the New Coalition Party, was a candidate in the February 2021 House of Representatives special election. He lost with no votes.[4] He did so again in the March 2021 House of Representatives election, still as a member of the NCP. He again lost, but this time with three votes.[5] He then ran in the May 2021 House of Representatives election, for the first time as a member of the Democratic Reformist Party (DRP). He won with eight votes (3.9%).[6] He was reelected in July 2021 as a member of the DRP, now rebranded as the Redmont Freedom Party (RFP), receiving five valid votes.[7] During his tenure he authored the ChAk Fair Campaigning Amendment Act, which was signed into law on 20 August.[8]
