The common cold is a contagious disease that can be caught and transmitted by players in Redmont.
Signs and symptoms
Players who contract a common cold will always have a Stuffy Nose and be sneezing. There's also a 50% chance the patient will have a Headache, and a 25% chance the patient will have a Sore Throat.[1]
Causes
A player can catch a common cold by experiencing a body temperature of less than 33°C. It is also possible for a player to catch a cold from another player, within a 3 block radius of you, who is suffering.
Management
A common cold is highly contagious and so management efforts focus on treating the condition and also limiting its spread.
The treatment for a common cold is decongestant. To make decongestant, a Doctor or Pharmacist must brew 3 Sweet Berry Extract with Magma Cream to make 3 Pseudoephedrine. Then, the 3 Pseudoephedrine makes the Decongestant.
A patient can go to a Hospital or Clinic to be treated with decongestant for $55, which is fully paid by Medicare.[2]

History
A common cold was the main disease spread during the May 2025 Moon Plague outbreak. In the later stages of the outbreak, players were infected with both common cold and chicken pox.
