The 38th Congress of Redmont was the group of legislators comprising the legislative branch of the the country's government, serving from 10 July to 19 July 2026. Candidate declarations closed on 7 July 2026, followed by the opening of polls that day, and the closure of polls and the announcement of the results on the 10 July.[1]
On 13 July 2026, former President of the Senate Musclebound was removed in a 4-0-0 vote[2] after less than 24 hours in office with a vote of no confidence. This vote was initiated through a motion by Senator TrueDarklander after multiple votes for the standing orders of the senate failed to pass. Immediately prior to the vote results being announced, Musclebound posted a resignation message from the position of President of the Senate.[3][4]
On 19 July 2026, following the July 2026 General Strike, 38th Congress passed the Continued Chaos Act, which was subsequently signed into law by President Multiman155. The act repealed the Criminal Code Act and effectively made all crime legal.[5] The same day, the House and Senate dissolved due to the actions of server owner xEndeavour.[6][7][8] Subsequently, a special election was held for each seat in the House of Representatives and Senate.[9] Candidate declarations for the special election closed on 22 July 2026, and polls opened the following day.[10][11][12] The results were announced on 25 July.[10][11] The new members of the House of Representatives and Senate, comprising the 39th Congress, quickly passed a new Criminal Code Act, which was signed into law by President xXTheoryXx on 31 July 2026.[13]
