1950minecrafter's campaign in the February 2021 presidential election was launched on 25 January 2021. As the Socialist Party of the People's nominee, 1950minecrafter selected pugbandit, a Liberal Reform Party (LRP) member, to be his running mate. pugbandit was partypig678's running mate in his own campaign, the LRP ticket, until the campaign was suspended on 24 January.
In a three-way race, 1950minecrafter received 64 of the 195 votes (32.8%). A runoff was called between Krix and 1950minecrafter. In the runoff, 1950minecrafter received 92 of 204 votes (45.1%), ultimately losing the race. He conceded and congratulated the two on their victory.[1]
Background
1950minecrafter
1950minecrafter was the first non-staff person to join DemocracyCraft.[2] He founded the Socialist Party of the People some weeks later and, that month, was elected to the 1st House of Representatives. During this term he became the 2nd Speaker of the House. After the Democratic Reformist Party took power, he took a break from DemocracyCraft, and was approached to join another city roleplay server, where he became a moderator. Because of DemocracyCraft's anti-competition rule, 1950 was banned; the new server failed to launch. But in September–October, 1950 was asked to return, and did so.[3]
Policies
As for towns, the campaign wanted to implement a tier system. At tier 2 or 3, the town would get a health clinic[4] and a police station.[5] It wanted to promote living in towns by adding more plots and through advertisement.[4] It also had plans for a space programme.[6][7]

The campaign rallied at bubbarc's apartment on 3 February.[7] 1950minecrafter participated in the presidential debate organised by the Department of Public Affairs on 6 February 2021.[15]
