Acting President Multiman 155, who had served as the vice president, became the 26th president of Redmont. 155's term will expire on 15 February, when the president-elect of the February 2026 presidential election will be sworn in; 155 had already announced his bid in the election while serving as acting president.

Background

On 19 January, Vice President Multiman 155 began acting in the capacity of the president as Juniper Fig had became unable to serve due to an IRL health crisis.[1]

Initial announcement

On 29 January, Acting President Multiman 155 announced that the Cabinet had voted to remove Fig and that he had approached the leadership of the 35th Senate. "This is a terrible day. It has been a terrible week. I really had hoped that it could come to anything but this. . . . My heart is broken. Both for juniperfig and for our server."[2]

Cabinet vote

On 23 January,[2] eight members of the Cabinet voted to incapacitate Fig: Attorney General Dogeington Anthropy, Secretary of Commerce Eliesia Crime, Secretary of Construction and Transport Four Tyfour, Secretary of Education Scassany Contour, Secretary of the Interior winter wolf, Secretary of Public Affairs lucaaasserole and Secretary of State A__C.[3]

Senate vote

On 29 January 2026, Deputy President of the Senate EATB (NDP) motioned to incapacitate President Fig. In slightly over four hours, five of the six senators had voted, all aye; one senator was not present.[4]

Senator Party Vote
Omegabiebel RBP Aye
EATB NDP Aye
Talion Contour TP Aye
zLost GER Aye
Ryland Wethersbee WPR Aye
Ameslap James NDP Not present

Each of the five senators who voted explained their vote:

  • Omegabiebel: "It is with heavy heart that I must vote :aye~7:. I truly hope we'll see her again on DC and that she generally recovers from her situation"
  • EATB: " I support this begrudgingly. I wish this never happened, but sadly Juniperfig's ill-health has rendered her unable to continue office physically. I hope that she has a speedy recovery and that she returns to this community soon. She is loved by us all."
  • Talion Contour: "With great regret, I vote :aye~7:. I hope juniper enjoys a swift recovery and gets back to us soon."
  • zLost: ":aye~7: - I echo what my fellow senators said and wish juniperfig a quick recovery."
  • Ryland Wethersbee: ":aye~7: We love Juni, but in this current state she has not been able to fulfill her presidential duties. I wish the best for Juniper and I am praying for her full recovery."

Public response

While the Senate was voting on the motion, former Representative xEndeavour encouraged all senators to vote against the removal of Fig and called Multiman 155's actions "a powergrab [sic]" and stated, "[It] Costs us nothing to maintain the status quo."[5] xEndeavour was immediately met with strong backlash.[6]

"This is not a power grab. She is genuinely physically incapable of continuing her job as President due to her illness and inability to access communications. You should know the Constitution yourself given that you helped author it and that you were President of the Senate when UnityMaster was incapacitated. Turning this into an argument about this being a power grab is disrespectful, Juniperfig is in close contact with Multiman and would've wanted this. How do you expect her to carry out her duties in her poor condition? I wish her all the best and she wouldn'tve wanted this petty debate and dramatisation. This isn't about Multiman. — Deputy President of the Senate EATB criticising xEndeavour for his criticism of Multiman 155, 29 January 2026[7]

Additionally, Representative Savannah Price responded, saying, "Multi is obviously very upset. Juni and him are very close. And you’re calling this a power grab? Be better end."[8] 155 called for End to "resign. From everything."[9]
