Julia Tempest (joined 14 March 2025; username JuliaMC_) is a Redmontian politician and lawyer who formerly served as the deputy speaker of the 33rd House of Representatives. She additionally served as the 8th head of legal affairs of Aventura and as the 6th head of administration of Aventura, both under Mayor AnimeInc.
Career
Tempest is a lawyer and politician from Aventura.
She was also briefly a designer. On 19 March 2025, she published the artmaps Harry and Dreaming, and Batman the following day.[1]
On 22 March 2025, she declared her candidacy as an independent in the March 2025 special election for the Oakridge head of urban development following the resignation of AETHER1AN.[2]
On June 22, 2025, she declared her candidacy as a member of the Workers' Party of Redmont in the June 2025 special elections for the Aventuran head of administration. A day later, on 26 June 2025, she won the election with 10 votes.
On July 23, 2025, she declared her candidacy as a member of the Workers' Party of Redmont in the July 2025 House special election. On the 27th, she was elected into the position with 41 first preference votes, and 49 votes after transfers.[3] She was later elected to the 32nd House of Representatives and was re-elected in September. She became the deputy speaker of the 33rd House and was re-elected to serve in the 34th House of Representatives. On 28 November, she resigned from her congressional position.
The 37th Congress
Julia was elected to the 37th House of Representatives on May 11th 2026 with 14 first preference votes and 15 votes after transfers.[4] Julia would resign on the 6th of June in the chaos leading up to the June 2026 general strike, which was immediately triggered by the refusal of xEndeavour to remove Julia's deadname from her forums account, stating "Representative Julia's decision is, as always, to resign."[5]
On the 9th of June, PluraGlasshouse would resign from his seat in the House, Julia would be re-elected to the same congress only 9 days later to the vacant seat left by Plura on the 15th with 41 first preference votes.[6] Julia would then go on an indefinite leave-of-absence due to mental health[7] and resign again from the House on the 22nd of June.[8]
Being elected twice and resigning twice from the same congress has led some to dub Julia as "the most resigned representative." The Speaker of the House Antonfr said in the announcement of Julia's second resignation - "She was active, and congress will miss her." Julia will certainly be remembered as one of the most active and popular representatives, as shown by the tremendous electoral mandate provided by being elected to the same congress twice. After the events of June 2026, Julia is thought to have quit Democracy Craft.
