The February 2025 presidential election was the 14th and latest election to choose the next president of Redmont. 1950minecrafter of the Workers' Party of Redmont received 62 out of 156 (39.7%) of the first-choice votes, with 46 (29.5%) going to xEndeavour, 44 (28.2%) going to Vernicia, and 4 (2.6%) going to TheMusica, who was summarily eliminated. Their votes were distributed to xEndeavour (3) and 1950minecrafter (1), leaving Vernicia with the least number of votes, being eliminated and having her votes distributed. After distribution, the final count was 75 for xEndeavour and 81 for 1950minecrafter, leading 1950 to cross the threshold of 79 votes, and becoming the president-elect of Redmont. He succeeded President lcn, and tapped Yeet_Boy to continue serving as vice president.
Background
In the initial days of 2025, a wave of new players from the Trolligarch wave arrived in Redmont. These players, who were mostly left-leaning in numbers, grew left-wing parties such as the WPR and GER to a higher extent than centrist or right-wing parties like the Redmont Reform Party or the Patriotic Coalition of Redmont. These players heavily influenced the January congressional elections.
During the elected 29th Congress, the GER and WPR allied to form the GER–WPR coalition, solidifying a working majority in the House of Representatives. In mid-January, the House of Representatives passed a motion to incapacitate President UnityMaster. Following Senate approval, UnityMaster was incapacitated and Vice President lcn ascended to the presidency and President of the Senate Yeet_Boy replaced him as vice president.

Opinion polling and forecasts
In early February, The Reveille Times hosted a debate between the candidates. Their pre-debate and post-debate polls showed a shift toward 1950minecrafter and Vernicia and away from xEndeavour. Before the debate, 43.8% of 16 respondents favored 1950minecrafter, 37.5% favored xEndeavour, and 18.8% favored Vernicia. After the debate, 56.3% favored 1950minecrafter, 25% favored Vernicia, and 18.8% favored xEndeavour.[1]
On 7 February, Redmont News Network published its pre-poll results and presented its finding that "left-wing voters [are] overwhelmingly supporting 1950minecrafter, and right-wing voters [are] divided without a confident position." The network stated that 1950minecrafter had an 81% chance of winning a majority of votes.[2] The Reveille Times's JunoAndrist called 1950minecrafter and Yeet_Boy "the clear frontrunners".[3]
On the first day of voting, Redmont News Network's exit poll identified a "60-point lead" over xEndeavour, and reported that only 8% of respondents voted for Vernicia.[4]
