The Aether Party (AET) is a political party in Redmont that is a hybrid of cultural liberal values, fiscal/cultural conservative values, libertarian values, new player values.[1] Aether was originated by Gluonmaster as a local party to run in Mironia on 13 September 2026.[2] This was to support Stel's Sky City in Mironia.[3] Later that day, Gluon decided to run the party in Redmont. She created a petition to organize supporters.[4] On the 14th, Stel would be the Pope of the Aether Party while Gluon would be the Monarch.[5] Gluon recruited five people to be on the Pirate Council so she could keep track of which members were needed for the party registration.[6][7] The Aether Party was finally registered on the 17 September 2026.[8]

Liberal Values

Supports outreach to new players, wild town representation in congress, involvement in wild town politics, religious minorities, more representation in congress.[9]

Conservative Values

Supports protecting family names, gun rights, keeping crime RP interesting by illegalizing buffs except fluff.[10][11] Supports funding DHS.[12] Supports cuts to salaries for jobs with commission pay or jobs people want regardless of pay. Supports cuts to grants.[13] Views balance tax as purely performative and dislikes the sales tax.[14]

Libertarian Values

Having political assassinations be part of Redmont's culture.[15] Uses a pirate aesthetic with sky crew, captain, quartermaster, and pirate council.[16] Supports wilderness living, which allows one to be separate from Redmont authority.[17]

New Player Values

Rewarding businesses which hire new players, keeping affordable housing grants, more new player awareness, better new player onboarding through automation, and splitting tasks into chunks.[18][13]
