The DemocracyCraft Wiki uses citations to allow for the verification of statements. Citations tell the reader where information was sourced. These can be books, webpages, messages, videos, etc.

These citations autogenerate when a references list is inserted with <references />, typically under a section called == References == at the bottom.

Citing sources

To cite a source, use the relevant citation template. Input each of the parameters and a citation will be generated in a standardised format.

Do not directly reference images or links without the appropriate template and metadata as they will not be correctly formatted within the References section of an article.

Appropriate citations

As long as a source is generally considered reliable, it may be cited. Common sources include:

  • commands
  • Discord messages
  • the forums
  • in-game books
  • interviews
  • news articles
  • press releases
  • YouTube videos
