Culicid fever formerly refers to a family of similar contagious conditions that can be caught and treated in Redmont. Culicid fever was replaced with Bug Bite Fever in the 2026 Health Update.
Signs and Symptoms
The symptom common to all cases of culicid fever was vomiting. In addition to the vomiting a player might also have been confused or bleed. Bleeding could make the condition life-threatening for some players.
Causes
A culicid fever was contracted after being bitten by an infected mosquito in a jungle biome. It could also have spread player to player.
Management

A culicid fever was managed with an antiemetic. This was crafted by a doctor using coal, a glass bottle, a spider eye, and nether wart.
Epidemiology
Culicid fever could spread player-to-player with a 10% transmission chance according to epidemiologists.
History
An outbreak of culicid fever occurred alongside the third wave of the May 2025 Moon Plague outbreak.
