1950minecrafter's campaign in the February 2025 presidential election was borne of a joint ticket between the Workers' Party of Redmont (WPR) and the Galactic Empire of Redmont (GER) in a coalition. The campaign was successful and was elected in the third round of counting, receiving 62 first-preference votes, one second-preference vote, and 18 third-preference votes. He and xEndeavour of the Redmont Reform Party were the final two candidates before 1950minecrafter's victory after receiving 18 of Vernicia voters' second-preference votes in the third round, enough to secure a majority of the total votes, even though xEndeavour received 26 of Vernicia voters' second-preference votes.[1]
1950minecrafter's running mate was Yeet_Boy, Chair of the Galactic Empire of Redmont and sitting vice president under lcn. The pair has been serving since their inauguration on 15 February. His administration has focused on workers' rights and government transparency.
The campaign received broad support, drawing voters from the WPR — the largest political party in Redmont — and the GER, as well as others. It received the endorsement of former President Twixted, and those of various other incumbent and former officials.
Background
1950minecrafter
1950minecrafter was the first player to join DemocracyCraft, doing so on 13 April 2020. He quickly after founded the Socialist Party of the People, the first political party in Redmont. He had served in Congress several times in past years. He had previously ran in two other presidential elections, but did not win any of them. In 2025, he returned to DemocracyCraft and joined the Workers' Party of Redmont.[2]
Yeet_Boy
Yeet_Boy joined in 2022, when he founded the Galactic Empire of Redmont. He has served in both chambers of Congress several times, and notably as the mayor of Oakridge for multiple terms. In January, he was elected president of the 29th Senate by a tie-breaking vote cast by Vice President lcn. Following the incapacitation of President UnityMaster, lcn ascended to the presidency and Yeet_Boy became the vice president of Redmont.[3]
