Redmont Liberation Front (RLF) is a far-left political party in Redmont. It was founded under the name "Redmont Anarchy" by PluraGlasshouse on 23 April 2026, and registered by epiknice on 25 June 2026 under the current name.[1]

History

What began as "Redmont Anarchy" was created by PluraGlasshouse on 23 April 2026, and developed with epiknice from 24 April 2026. It was founded on an anarchist manifesto, with ideas like decentralisation, mutual aid, and voluntary agreement being the basis of their campaign.[2]

Following Plura's election to the House of Representatives on 11 May 2026,[3] he chose to resign from RLF to continue with his own party (the now-deregistered SDP),[4] and epiknice took over as the party's head. Soon after, epiknice dissolved the party's council, a choice to decentralise the party itself, as his last act as a 'Grand Councillor'. RLF moved from a council system to an ahierarchy, henceforth lacking a typical 'Head of Party'. RLF's 'Departments' were renamed to 'Committees', and the council was replaced with a 'Popular Assembly'. The system for electing a member for public office went from promotion of a Councillor with a majority vote, to delegation of an interested member by consensus.[5]

The name "Redmont Liberation Front" was decided by a public survey to improve the party's image, and was made the official party name on 4 June 2026.[6] Their slogan was also changed from "Common sense for the common people" to "Anarchists for Redmont". Their logo also changed from the red-black 'RA' roundel to the black & white 'RLF' logo to reflect wider anarchist inclusivity.

While epiknice carried out most of the party's initial reforms, the creation of their Assembly enabled all members to propose their own reforms. In particular, Jesseya introduced a formal charter and platform as a member of the party's Secretariat Committee.[7][8]

RLF contested in the July 2026 General Election, running Jesseya as a candidate for a seat in the House of Representatives.[9] Her campaign for this election reflected the party's new platform. Despite a staff mute for addressing issues in the server itself, which made her unable to campaign, Jesseya was able to come 17th in a race of 50 candidates, with her comment on the loss: "We will win! Maybe not today, but someday. We will not give up. The Liberation of Redmont is at hand! Viva la Revolution!"[10] Not long after Jesseya was muted, on 12 July 2026 she was also permanently deported from Redmont.

RLF and the Workers' Party of Redmont (WPR) entered a coalition on 14 July 2026, acting as a formal electoral alliance and an informal collaboration strategy.

Structure

RLF's Popular Assembly is its decision-making body, and contains all members without exception. Any member can make a proposal to the rest of the Assembly, where it will be debated and synthesised into a solution that meets everyone's needs and requirements.

All of RLF's Committees are open to join for members, representing their goal of 'voluntary association'. Each Committee is able to elect a 'Steward' by consensus within that Committee's plenary and among its members, who collective responsibility falls to in serious situations (e.g. financial issues). The powers of a Steward can be revoked by any member, making their authority precarious, and ensuring a power imbalance doesn't arise.

Each Committee forms to address specific issues, fitting into three categories:

Name Abbreviation Purpose Current Steward
Outreach Committee OUTCOM Propaganda and communication.
Policy Committee POLCOM Investigates and proposes policy goals of RLF to the Assembly.
Secretariat Committee SECCOM Internal affairs, stewardship, and custodial tasks. epiknice
