tortenwashere (joined 26 January 2025), or simply torten, is a Redmontian journalist who founded TPA News in April 2025.
Career
tortenwashere is a journalist, founding TPA News in April 2025. He is also the cameraman for the DC Knights podcast. On 12 June, tortenwashere applied to become an archivist and was accepted on 14 June.[1]
In April 2025, he founded TPA News, a subsidiary of TPA Corporation, which is under torten's Tortenator Group.[2]
Politics
tortenwashere joined the Workers' Party of Redmont (WPR) on 27 February 2025. Earlier that month, he declared in the head of commerce of Oakridge election as an independent, but lost with two votes to JunoAndrist (WPR)'s 21 and CopTop_YT (GER)'s 17.[3] Days later he ran in the Aventura town council elections but rescinded his candidacy before voting opened.[4] He ran as an independent in the February 2025 special election for the 29th House of Representatives but lost to RylandW (GER), trailing other candidates.[5]
torten endorsed Kaiserin_'s campaign in the June 2025 presidential election.[6]
torten ran in the June 2025 Oakridge council elections for head of commerce as a member of the WPR. torten received 19 votes, while inceee (IND) received 21 and James3875678 (GER) received four. Because none of the three candidates reached a majority of votes, a runoff election was called. In the runoff, torten and the other candidate, inceee (IND), each received 13 votes, and a second runoff election was declared. In the second runoff election, inceee received 20 votes and torten received 19, and thus, a third runoff election was declared. In the third runoff election, inceee received 27 votes and torten received 23, and inceee was declared the victor.[7]
