The Gun License is a prerequisite to legally owning, purchasing, or possesing Guns. If you posses a Gun without a License, you can get up to $1,200 in fines and confistication of the illegal weapons![1]
Acquisition
In order to get your License, you must first be a Citizen of Redmont, and have your Passport. Once you have a passport, head to the police station using /gps police and right-click Tammy for an application. Then , right-click with the application in your hand, and agree to all conditions. Then, enter in a reason for owning Firearms. Finally, Left-Click jeff and mail the application to "GovSecurity".
Use
Simply carry the License wherever you take your Firearm, and you will be protected from Illegal Holding of a weapon. However, there are some restrictions:
- You cannot own Illegal Weaponry
- You cannot point or otherwise threaten other players with your weapon
- Some Crimes can get you Strikes on your license
Strikes and Loss
Owning Guns and a License is a privilege, not a right. If you choose to misuse your weapons, you will be issued strikes. Strikes can be Issued for:
- Mass Murder
- Deprivation of Liberty
- Violent Disorder
- WMD Possesion
- WMD Trafficking
Should you receive a strike, the punishments are as follows:
| 1 strike | Restriction for 7 days |
| 2 strikes | Suspension for 7 days |
| 3 strikes | Suspension for 7 days, followed by Restriction for 7 days |
| 4 strikes | Suspension for 14 days, followed by Restriction for 14 days |
| 5–7 strikes | Suspension for 14 days |
Restriction means that you cannot access the more dangerous weapons, and are placed on warning.
Suspension means you cannot use weapons for that period of time[2]
