The 2nd Republic of Mironia is a wild nation. This article does not cover the events during the 1st Republic of Mironia.

Founding

A New Government

Gluon, MrNick, and Hello got together and agreed to create a new Mironian Republic due to the original one failing. Together they would create a new legislative body known as the Senate. MrNick served as Senator of South Miron, Gluon as Senator of Metropolis, and Hello as Senator of Redwood.

As a result of this proposal, MrNick took on the role of Acting President, meanwhile three states were established, Redwood, Metropolis, and South Miron. Debates would occur about what the other branches of congress would look like since the Senate was not intended to remain unicameral. At some point these debates resulted with the establishment of a Assembly, a body which would take three days to pass legislation or constitutional amendments, be a check on the Senate's power, and consist of every single citizen of Mironia. Later it was proposed to add a House of Representatives where there would be proportional representation. This proposal was put off until after the New Constitution passed.

The Senate had the ability to establish proposal/voting procedures but could not prevent those procedures from being challenged. The Senate early on voted to establish MrNick's formatting procedures. This formatting was however not forced on the Assembly.

Accomplishments

Lucas proposed a new Mironia banner design, the red/black was to represent the old Mironia banner, while the green represents the wilds, the gray represents Mironia's dark history. This banner underwent a redesign before becoming officially Mironia's new banner design. Hypno would then mass produce these banners.

The Mironia Republic additionally established a ticket system, appointed Kaizered to run the villager trading hall, and appointed Gluon to restore the ice boat tunnel. Meanwhile, a drive to claim Metropolis was set into motion by Senator Gluon.

A news channel was established with Gluon creating the first news company for New Mironia, a company called Vicar News. At first news was restricted to just Vicar News.

South Miron, Metropolis, Redwood, Wilderbug states. Federal Land is outlined in semi dark green. Tranquility doesn't exist yet but forms soon.

An initiative would be start to recruit smaller countries into the Mironian Republic. The result of this initiative was Wilderburg applied to join Mironia. Wilderburg joining Mironia was included in the New Constitution when it was finally passed.

New Constitution

Elections were to be conducted via instant runoff using a discord bot. Citizens are granted various rights such as deliberation, association, freedom from cruelty, various court rights based on the USA, property, and freedom from badly written laws / being framed. Citizens are granted the ability to recall elected people via a petition.

Wilderburg Castle

There are three bodies of congress. To do anything legislative, you need all three bodies of congress. Each state gets 1 Senate seat. Each state gets 1 House of Representatives seat by default, and for every 4 citizens, gets another House seat. The Assembly shall consist of all citizens and conduct votes which last three days.

The Executive Branch gets a robust set of powers including nominating Judges/secretaries, regulating discord structure, spending government money, diplomacy, access to channels, ice boat bridge, villager trading hall, command military, prosecute citizens, represent government in court. The Vice Presidential position is added.

The Aether Party

There are two courts, the District Courts and the Supreme Court. Elections are run by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court consists of 3 people while the District Courts are each run by a Judge and there can be as many District Courts as desired.

Wilderburg is granted the special privilege of having its own government with Spamton G. Spamton as Emperor. For South Miron, Metropolis, and Redwood, these states have their Senators serve as Governors while their Representatives serve as City Councils.

Early Ideologies

The Aether Party

The Strong Party

The Mironian Aether Party is established by Gluon, built around the goal of establishing a sky city which would have representation in congress. Additionally Aether supports bringing back religious minorities which were oppressed during the Eve Inquisition such as the Daveists who worship the mooshroom Dave, the Branch Eveidians who want to own a obscene about of fire arms in preparation for the end times when Eve will come down a giant ladder, and the Jimists whose teachings have been lost to time. This restoration would involve building religious sites.

Aether additionally believes in voluntary donations instead of taxes. Aether is also pro merchants, pro business subsidies, wants various public works maintained like the Apex Hotel. Aether also wants a communal shop and community center established. They additionally want Redwood to be bought out by big lava, this would require the building of lava tractors. Redwood would also be merged with Metropolis.

Ideologically, Aether Party in Mironia can be described as Pro Religious Minorities + Corporate Welfare.

The Strong Party

The Mironian Strong Party is established by MrNick, built around the goal of a water city which would have representation in congress. Additionally Strong supports healthcare, education, public transit, alliances with the UK, Queendom, Amazook, funding a strong military, and seperation of church / state. Additionally Strong Party wants Redwood to remain independent from Metropolis.

Ideologically, Strong Party can be described as Modern Liberal.

Opinions of the Mironian People during MrNick's 1st Administration

During MrNick's Presidency, Gluon conducted a poll of Mironians, this poll had a sample size of 11 people.

A vast majority of Mironians were against force annexation but favored the idea of annexation provided it was done with consent. Independents and Aether were mostly in favor of consensual annexation while a notable minority of Aether wanted forceful annexation. Strong Party was mostly unsure or against annexation.

Eve's Inquisition against religious minorities was very unpopular for most Mironians but Mironians were split between whether the government should get involved in supporting religious minorities.

Mironia Political Tribes

A vast majority of Mironians were against taxation but there was a large minority in favor. Amongst the political parties, Strong members mostly preferred taxes while Aether members and Independents mostly did not.

Based on Gluon's Poll, Mironians fell into three political ideologies. The first was Liberty, a tribe which was anti tax, anti government intervention. The second was Reasonability, a group which believed in reasonable government via taxes, separation of church and state, and no forceful unification. The final was the Hardliners, a group which was anti tax, pro government supporting religious minorities, and had harsh views on the Redwood Metropolis Union question.

Overall Mironia has three currently active religious branches.

• The Eveists who are divided between the Church of Eve and the Branch Eveidians.
• The Aetherials.
• The Daveists.

The Hand Cult was banned from Mironia and the Jimists were wiped out.

Church of Eve

Jimist Church

The Church of Eve is a religion founded by Eve that held influence over the previous republic of Mironia. They various temples to Eve and have a book known as the Book of Eve. The Church of Eve relied on selling various holy literature and donations. They also sold food for the people near the Church. Eve's religion believes that earth is a divine being and that Eve was blessed by the earth to communicate her message. They also believe in communal living, not wearing boots to connect to the earth, not being greedy, and not taking advantage of the needy.

The Church of Eve however had a dark side, for example, they had a secret dungeon run by Priestess Loose Leaf. The Church of Eve also had a political movement which tried to take over Mironia to make us a theocracy with a Holy Protector as dictator, a state church, and their religious text within the theocratic constitution. The Church was also accused of hypocrisy due to a misunderstanding where people thought they were trying to sell Mironia's public villagers back to the government for a profit. Despite this misunderstanding, it still can be reasoned that Mironia had no choice but to pay for the church claim because otherwise the villagers would have been left unclaimed in danger.

Gluon was faithful to the Church of Eve, however after Eve decided to leave Mironia, Gluon wanted to make her own local branch. Gluon's branch however had a new religious text called the "Book of Gluon". Eve saw this as Gluon breaking off to form her own religion which was in defiance to the Church. As a result of this argument, the Branch Eveidians believe that Eve isn't currently the Avatar of Gaia thus she no longer speaks the truth. However Eve will one day descend from a giant ladder in the sky, leading a holy war once she has been chosen to again be the Avatar of Gaia. Thus the Branch Eveidians believe in gathering tons of firearms in preparation for this holy war.

President MrNick went undercover to investigate a group known as the Hand Cult. Jeef leads this group and Metradime serves as a deputy. They spread their word through a book titled "with hands", they also give out gold and diamonds to their most loyal followers. Gluon was warned to make sure under no circumstance the Hand Cult infiltrated Mironia. The President ordered that the Hand Cult be killed on sight due to fears over their desire to sacrifice.

Daveism

The Daveists belief in a mooshroom named Dave who was taken captive by Eve during the Eve Inquisition. Gluon worked with Secretary of Commerce Kaizered to free Dave from the Church of Eve's control.

Jimist Church

Aetherial Church

The Jimists built a small modest temple in Redwood, they kept their beliefs mostly hidden from the public, eventually they were wiped out by the Eve Inquisition. Gluon's Aether Party desires to revive them in some way.

Aetherialism

Aetherialists belief in the Pope, Stel, the Agent of Chaos, who proclaimed a city in the sky would be constructed. Instead of worshiping Gaia as the Eve believers do, they worship Uranus. The Aetherials also celebrate Neil the Seal who was there when Uranus created the universe. The Aetherials have a proclivity towards stars being holy as seen in stained glass and messages, they also have a proclivity towards parrots.

MrNick's 1st Term

During MrNick's 1st Term as a Acting President; while the new constitution was

being debated, MrNick appointed a Acting Cabinet. Some cabinet positions would later be replaced.

Department of State

Farmerkalechip would take on the duty of diplomacy with Queendom but be rejected as Ambassador. Gluon would take over as replacement ambassador with permission from the President rather than Secretary of State. Gluon was heavily involved in diplomacy with Wilderburg, ultimately resulting in Wilderburg joining Mironia. Following the problems with Farmerkalechip being Secretary of State due to Queendom rejecting him, Lucas would take over the position.

Other Departments

Gluon worked with Metropolis government to get roads repaired and claimed. Meanwhile, Kaizered managed access to the trading hall via a ticket system. Lucas built a farm on the mountain west of South Miron and Metropolis. Hypn0 would later take over the position for Agriculture. Stel would take on the role of Secretary of Security.

1st Election

The 2nd Republic of Mironia had a election. As mentioned above, this was a competition between the Aether Party, Strong Party, and the Independents. Note that the summary of what the candidates did only includes what they did for their particular state they represented. In the section titled MrNick's 2nd Term, other major congressional accomplishments besides ones focused on that congress person's state will be included.

Unopposed Candidates

For elections were only one person ran, Vicar News referred to these as North Korea Elections based on a quote from MrNick, of the Strong Party, who was the only person who ran for President. Azure ran as VP and was aligned with the Strong Party.

Strong Party recruited Spamton to run as Senator of Wilderburg. He went on to try and create the State Integrator so countries like Wilderburg could join Mironia and get added to the map. This was killed by the House.

Aether Party ran Gluon unopposed as Representative of Redwood. Gluon would go on to try to force Redwood and Metropolis to form a union but that was shot down. Gluon also conducted some repair work for Redwood.

Redwood Senator

Hello and RadDoctor both ran as independents against each other. RadDoctor ran on repairing and defending Abedul in the past. Hello did not run a campaign but was the incumbent Senator of Redwood. Hello won.

Metropolis Senator

For the Senate, it was Fluffyjumper of the Aether Party vs Apex a independent. Fluffy ended up winning. Fluffyjumper ran on aiding in the defense and growth of Metropolis as well as their record as a UN for the Wilds Envoy. Apex had a history of running ApexNews and the ApexHotel. Fluffy would go on to expand Metropolis to the west with a new market district as well as helping new people move into Metropolis. Fluffy also commissioned the development of new roads for Metropolis's outer regions. Metropolis Senator Fluffy would also oppose Redwood Representative Gluon's plan to forcefully unify Metropolis with Redwood.

South Miron Senator

For the Senate, it was Zuko of the Aether Party vs Lucas a independent. Lucas ended up winning. Lucas ran on being non partisan and repairing South Miron. Zuko ran on having created a restaurant in South Miron. Lucas would go on to propose and eventually pass the separation of Governor and Senator for South Miron. Zuko built a house to the south west area in South Miron for Lucas. Lucas built a farm on the mountain in the south west of South Miron. Lucas would also try to negotiate with McPro about his Illegal Microstate he had made within South Miron territory.

MrNick's 2nd Term (WIP)

Election Issues

The old election system relied on a discord bot to conduct the election and had Supreme Court oversee the use of this discord bot. Since Gluon was appointed the only Justice at the time, she started running elections. However there are two issues with the old system.

The first issue was that the bot glitched and destroyed the Metropolis Senate election. As a result I had to manually poll everyone to figure out what the results would have been.

The second issue was that the elections were scheduled based on Gluon's timezone in PST. This meant that people had to stay up all night to get the results. As a result a group signed a petition demanding Mironia end elections early in the event there was a clear winner. The old bot system didn't let Gluon look at results until a election is over so she had no way of enforcing this petition for elections where more than one person ran.

Gluon wanted to change this old voting system so she made a ruling arguing that the framers of the constitution would have intended the elections be changed from the old bot system due to the democratic petition wanting results early and the bot deleting votes. Gluon however ruled on her own case since she was the only Supreme Court Judge. The result was a huge controversy forcing Gluon to resign.

Fluffy, Hello, and Stanley were appointed as the Justices to replace Gluon.

Judge Potatoman Fired

Judge Potatoman had major controversies since he was accused of using AI on a Redmont police application, lied about going to a Bible Study, tried to overthrow the UNW, handcuffing a innocent person then dragging them around town, falsely claiming he was endorsed by Aether, threatening to keep claiming he was endorsed by TE unless they let him back. Potatoman was removed as District Judge following these revelations.

Early Pres Controversies

MrNick announced his First Family. He then invited his First Family to have access to government, two of these people were somewhat controversial due to being terrorists. MrNick was told he was not allowed to do this.

MrNick would endorse people in Redmont's upcoming election, a power he was allowed to do as defined by the constitution. This however made people very mad and the Senate restrained MrNick's powers to endorse people.

Limiting Exec Roles

Senator Fluffy proposed a limit on the same people holding multiple executive positions. This would ultimately pass the Senate, thus being enacted since the Senate is allowed to regulate the President's cabinet. This wouldn't get enforced until Azure's administration when Gluon would resign from Infrastructure due to her also running DoJ.

Building Projects during MrNick

At the request of Metropolis Senator Fluffyjumper, the Department of Infrastructure built new roads in Outer Metropolis. Fluffy also built a trading area in Metropolis. Aether members would also begin construction of the sky city which included a Church for Aetherialism and a capitol ship called the Phoenix. Aether supports new players by hiring one to build a house in the sky city of Solei.

Assembly Loses Power

During this period of history the Assembly would slowly decline in power until it was reduced to a body that purely ran constitutional amendments. Originally the Assembly had the power to remove Judges but the Assembly's 3 day process took too long so congress voted to get rid of that Assembly power. Then when congress voted to make the House and Senate more specialized, part of that vote involved the Assembly no longer having a role in appointing Judges or appropriations. The Assembly would then lose more power once a vote in their body was held to take away their ability to make laws due to their law making process taking too long. Finally with the passing of the Court Clarity Act during Lucas's Acting Presidency, the Assembly would lose its 3/4 vote power.

Congress Specializes

Congress would vote to specialize, the House would be in charge of law organizing and appropriations while the Senate would be in charge of confirmations. This ultimately passed.

The House would pass the first appropriation bill of the 2nd Republic of Mironia, this bill focused on defense spending, stockpiling agriculture, and embassies as well as diplomacy spending. The Infrastructure and Justice departments already had tons of money which they got privately rather than via appropriations.

Phoenix Airship in Solei

Tranquility Statehood

Stel proposes the establishment of a new state known as Solei, a city in the sky. Solei's statehood would fail because it specified that Stel would be the first unelected Senator of Solei. Later Solei gained statehood when it was specified that there would be a election for the first Senator.

Solei and Rainseria, are later merged into a union known as Tranquility. Rainseria was originally a underground republic that formed during the Federation of Mironia as a seperate state.

Local Govs

Lucas proposed that the position of Governor and Senator for South Miron be made separate positions, this ultimately passed. Fluffy would propose state councils for every single state, but this failed.

Senator Spamton proposed the State Integrator Act which would have created a position to help add states to a map, determine state locations, and add states to the constitution. This ultimately failed because the House thought it was too vague.

Expansionism

Lucas entered diplomatic talks with the secessionist state of MCProland, the result of these diplomatic talks was that MCPro said "no" in defiance of Mironia's request for integration.

Blackwood, a independent wild town, enters talks to gain statehood within Mironia. Fluffy proposes they join. This proposal fails, probably due to concerns about the size of Blackwood's population. Gluon proposes Treeveille Union, which will be a state consisting of Redwood and Blackwood. This state shall "speak for the trees". This state would have had a red and black checker pattern flag. Treeveille fails despite passing congress because Hyrophant leaves the discord thus breaking off talks with Blackwood.

Mironia would also reach out to various wild towns to offer them statehood. Mironia directly entered talks with Outer Redmont about statehood while its unclear if any talks occurred for the other states.

Gluon would also propose the Overseas Territory which will be a state to represent people who live in far flung lands that aren't really territorially connected. This proposal passed but make it explicit that the Overseas Territory needed to recruit a few people before it started being considered officially a state.

Populist Party Symbol

The Populist Party formed. They wanted events that charged entry fees with prizes instead of taxation. They were more moderate on the idea of state unions, they wanted a claim fund to stop griefing, support the ApexHotel, were purely local in focus, were pro unions/workers, and had a major focus on being pro immigration. They were founded by Apex and NotThatBright.

Gluon's chart of discord roles, at the time of Fascist Party creation, sorted by what Gluon considers politically left to politically right

The Fascist Party was formed by Cyanroy. They wanted to kill everyone who disobeyed them, supported a strong military, local focus, state economy, and anti immigration. Their existence sparked outrage resulting in a court case where the State Attorney argues that the Fascist Party were aspiring to overthrow democracy so they did not have freedom of association. The Fascist Party was allowed to exist since the Senate proposed a new rule specifying what parties were actively undemocratic and what parties were merely planning on being undemocratic. Rumors were spread after a house next to Lucas was destroyed following Cyanroy's threats to Lucas about knowing where Lucas lived due to Lucas attempting to deny Cyanroy citizenship.

Azurebruv's Presidency

Wilderburg Crisis

Wilderburd decided to secede from Mironia as was their legal right in the constitution. Gluon would react by announcing a protest against the UNW, claiming that Wilderburg seceded because of the UNW making it so Wilderburg couldn't keep its seat on the UNW and be in Mironia. Gluon claimed that if Wilderburg could legally secede at anytime, then the UNW should have considered it a defacto independent nation.

President Azure responded to Gluon's protest by leading the UNW without the approval of congress. Gluon would propose a vote in the Senate to leave the UNW and a vote to restrain President Azure's executive order. Leaving the UNW failed and Azure was limited from leaving the UNW without the Senate's approval.

South Miron Seperatists

Gluon would spiral and propose a series of bizarre ideas to make Mironia some sort of technically not a nation but actually a nation so that Mironia could have its states in the UNW. Lobster responded to all the talks about Mironia becoming a alliance of nations and Wilderburg seceding by announcing the South Miron separatist movement.

Gluon announced a group called "South Mironia", a terror cell that would go to war with the South Miron separatists without approval from the Mironian government.

Gluon decided that Mironia no longer being a nation was a bad idea and would stand down her anti UNW stance. She then apologized to the UNW for her extreme protest.
