Resetting Renewable Worlds

From DemocracyCraft Wiki
Revision as of 05:53, 9 April 2026 by Technofied (talk | contribs) (Make corrections to steps)

In most instances, an Everwild, Nether, and End reset will occur once every 3 months.

  • Generally we aim for 10pm EST - 5am EST during our quieter hours
  • Try to make an announcement in #server-announcements one week away from the desired date.
  • Make a follow up announcement 48 hours and 24 hours before the reset as well to remind players that this is about to happen

Steps

  1. Delete both Everwild, Reveille_nether, and Reveille_the_end using /mw delete <world>. If players are in the world(s), do /mw evacuate <world> first
  2. Recreate both Everwild, Reveille_nether, and Reveille_the_end using /mw create <world>.
  3. Using /gamerule, and set the following for the Everwild, Reveille_nether, and Reveille_the_end
    • keepInventory to false
    • announceAchievement to false
    • showDeathMessage to false
  4. Merge inventories between the worlds by running /mw inventory merge Reveille Reveille_nether Reveille_the_end Wilderness Everwild Hamilton
  5. Have a staff member check that keeping inventory is off
  6. Link nether portals correctly via
    • /world netherportal destination Reveille_nether Wilderness
    • /world netherportal destination Wilderness Reveille_nether
    • /world netherportal destination Everwild Reveille_nether
  7. Run /mw gamemode survival Reveille_the_end , /mw gamemode survival Reveille_nether, and /mw gamemode survival Everwild in Console
  8. Unload all three worlds using /mw unload <world>
  9. Open Reveille_nether/paper_world.yml and add below _version the following from the "Nether Configuration" (Engine Mode 1)
  10. Open Reveille_the_end/paper_world.yml and add below _version the following from the "End Configuration" (Engine Mode 1)
  11. Load all three worlds using /mw load <world>
  12. Open the server back up by removing the whitelist. (/whitelist off).
  13. Announce the change in #server-announcements!
