the party (sometimes stylised as the party.) is a centre-left "satirical"[1] political party in Redmont. It was founded in April 2025 by RubiLubi55.
History
the party was founded on 18 April 2025 by RubiLubi55 and registered on 27 April.[2] It ran two candidates in the May House of Representatives election and one of whom, RubiLubi55, won the party's first seat with 10 first-preference votes.[3]
Political positions
the party advocates for the abolition of balance taxes for individuals with assets totaling less than $100,000 and increasing balance taxes on those with assets totaling $400,000 or more. It advocates for reforming the hiring process for government jobs, replacing the playtime requirements with additional exams. It also stands for reforming the electoral system to "gradually introduce a more representative electoral system" rather than a "strict majority system", and it supports workers' rights.[4]
