Hypothermia

Hypothermia was a serious health condition that could affect players in Redmont. Its name derives from neo-Greek 'hypo-' (low) and 'thermia' (temperature). Hypothermia was removed in the 2026 Health Update. It's mostly related to the updated Common Cold disease.

Signs and Symptoms

Hypothermia typically presented itself with shivering and a headache. Players had a low body temperature.

Causes

Hypothermia occurred when a player's body temperature falls below 30°C, which is well below the normal temperature of 37°C. Wearing inadequate clothing in a cold environment can be a major contributor to a decreased body temperature.

Management

The crafting recipe for a heat pack.

Managing hypothermia involved raising the body temperature. This could have been achieved with a heat pack, which was crafted with a magma cream and a piece of paper.
