Oakridge Theatre's exterior in late June 2026

The Oakridge Theatre is a building in Oakridge found just across the road from the Entertainment District Bus stop in Oakridge, about a block away from the stadium and next door to Or-c065.

History

Oakridge has had a theatre since the 1st of June 2021 when former Mayor 1950minecrafter released the North Theatre (an amphitheatre), a new more conventional Oakridge theatre was built after the original had its roof collapse after a tree fell on it.[1]

The old Oakridge theatre (not the North Theatre) was built and unveiled around the Oakridge Spring Loaded event on May 2nd 2022.[2] Unfortunately from the 2nd of June 2023 to sometime just before the 16th of February 2024 the old theatre was abandoned and lost underground where eventually no one in public office in Oakridge knew it was there at all.[3]

On the 8th of February 2024, just before the old theatre was rediscovered during preparations for the main street paste[3][4], a new theatre - the current one - was built in the new entertainment district and received its current interior and exterior after a redesign on the 23rd of December 2024.[5] Since then it has been a venue for political rallies and community events, most notably for Multiman155's February 2026 presidential campaign.[6]

When the old theatre was rediscovered during preparations for the main street paste, the Mayor at the time, Yeet Boy, along with ZLost managed to preserve it and made a temporary entrance for it which eventually became its permanent entrance after the project to create an entrance for it was overshadowed by other, more important projects and the temporary entrance became popular with Oakridge locals.[3]
