Greenmont is a self-declared nation operating in the Wilderness.

Etymology

The name "Greenmont" is a reference to the land on which Barren Valley was built. It is a combination of "green" (the color of the land) and "mont" ("mountain"). The land is hilly and high above sea level.

History

Greenmont was founded in the April of 2024 by SpaceHombre and DK3458 after they agreed to found a settlement at a small complex of SpaceHombre's buildings east of Central Flats. They quickly declared themselves a nation, which grew, eventually building a new capital city called Magnopolis.

Unfortunately, Greenmont would soon find itself being attacked by groups such as the 1008er Mafia, and the Central Flats Merchant Republic. This resulted in several devastating raids.

After the Mafia disappeared, the CFMR began to flourish, with many moving to their town of Haven Valley. Eventually, the CFMR fought a war with Greenmont that made Greenmont a "state" of the CFMR, a status that lasted until the collapse of the CFMR.

Greenmont enjoyed a period of peace until Nebrasken64, one of the original members of Anderella, pushed Greenmont out of the Central Flats area, forcing them to move to an island far away.
