Katzen (German for "Cats") is the name of a large Conglomerate of smaller, specialized Companies - which are all owned by Katto.
Its subsidiaries are KatzenArt ("Cat Art"), Katzenfutter ("Cat Feed"), Katzenklo ("Cat Litter Box") and formerly Nachricht ("Message") and KatzenMall ("Cat Mall").
Katzen
Katzen itself has first started as a way to link Katzenfutter, a Bar and Café located on c455 at that time, and KatzenArt, a new Art Business. The first records of Katzen as a linking conglomerate have appeared right after KatzenArt's founding in December of 2023.
Katzenfutter
Katzenfutter is the first company owned by Katto and ended up setting the precedent of "Katzen" being put at the start of every further subsidiary's name. The Company was founded on 23 October 2022 as a small Bar and Café, located on the plot c120 in a rentable shop right outside East University Bus stop. It was then relocated to a rented shop on c572 after the original location was evicted, then it was moved to c712 which Katto aquired around the 14 April 2023. It was then, at last, moved to c455, where it would stay to this day. At multiple points during Katzenfutters history it was temporarily closed, and for a while during 2024 even sold to RylandW, though it was repurchased by Katto a few months later.
Katzenklo
Today
The Katzenklo, literally translating to Cat Toilet, is an Apartment Complex located on c455. It is currently an affordable Hotel offering a relaxing living space for tourists and new players. Parts of the Building are modelled after a Hotel in Czechia which Katto enjoyed his stay in.
Previously (before 2025)
It had previously (April 2023 - Early 2024) been an Apartment Complex on c712 and c455, managed by the RHO (Redmont Housing Organisation), a charitable organisation providing cheap housing to new players, co-owned by Katto and sprrrrrrrrr. It was commonly referred to as "Windsor Station Houses", as it was located right at Windsor Train Station.
Nachricht
Nachricht was a short lived project starting on 19 March 2024 for a rivaling social media company to LinkUp. It never took off and was abandoned a few days after creation.
KatzenMall and Katkauf
KatzenMall was a Mall located on c500. It existed from its construction in August 2023 to its' Destruction on 17 July 2024. It was co-managed with RegularVynixu, though after his deportation full ownership was given to Katto. During its' opening weeks it was surprisingly active, buzzling with New Shops and built a small community. However, as many shop owners quit the server or relocated, the building died down and was eventually demolished.
Katkauf ("Cat Purchase") was a small German-Themed Supermarket in the Basement of the Mall, being one of the only shops to reliably sell most of the custom chef Produce and Ingredients. It was not demolished along with KatzenMall and, even though the plot underwent substantial remodelling, likely still exists buried underground.
