A simple guide on how to correctly hire, promote, and fire staff without missing anything!
Hiring
Before anything: Make sure they have a mentor lined up before hiring or promoting someone.
Accepting the forums post
- Generate a link to the staff discord that expires after one use and put it in the following message
Welcome to the Staff Team!
Please join our Discord server here - [DISCORD ONE USE INVITE LINK TO THEIR CHANNEL]
We're excited to have you!
Setting up their channel
- Make sure their mentor is added to the channel and only admins+ is able to view. Once they join the staff discord add them to their channel as well
Hiring them on the discords
- The main discords do not auto sync so you will have to manually add the Moderator role and the Staff role. (Both DC and SC)
Hiring them ingame
- Hire them ingame with
/hire <username> “Trial Moderator”. Do this on DC and SC.
Hiring them on the forums
- Log into the administrator forums and search up their username. Scroll down to role selection and select Moderator and Staff. Scroll to the end till you find “Display user as staff” and check mark this. Click save at the bottom!
Welcoming them
- In their personal channel send this message along with a ping to their mentor and them: https://discord.com/channels/871393972805836810/1471357939188236503/1471357939188236503
Announcing them
- You can either announce them via the Outbox (if you have perms) or sending the messages separately!
Boom! You have hired someone!
