New page

Art is a feature in DemocracyCraft which can be accessed by using an easel and canvas. This feature allows you to create custom images using various tools and colours.

=== How to access ===
To be able to access the art feature, you need to pass the Designer exam at the Redmont University.

After that, you must obtain an easel and canvas. You can view the recipes for these items by typing
/art
after passing your exam.

=== Dyes ===
To make a piece of art, you will need dyes. A full list of dyes can be seen in the
/art
menu, some of which are not technically dyes in vanilla Minecraft (for example: you can paint with an emerald to get a bright green colour).

=== Finalising ===
To save a piece of art, you need to craft a paintbrush.

Then, click the easel with the canvas on it, and right click with the paintbrush. It will prompt you to name the painting.

Once you have named the artwork, the finalised canvas will be given to you, and it will also be saved in the
/art
menu where other people can temporarily view it.

Note that only the original author can create copies of an art piece.

=== Making copies ===
To make copies of a painting, you must get an empty map in your inventory and open the
/art
menu.

Once you have opened the /art menu, click the far-right option labelled "Artworks." In this menu, you can view a list of every artwork of the server.

Then, select your own player head. After that, another menu listing all your artwork will appear. From the list, click the artwork that you would like to make a copy of. Then, right click the icon which looks like the sprite of a written map and says the title of the artwork.

Now, you will have another copy of your artwork!
