Aventura started the year with Mayor [[TabbQ]], who was the first person to serve as [[List of mayors of Aventura|mayor of Aventura]] following [[LilDigiVert]]'s quit. However, TabbQ was inactive, and according to the December 2023 [[State of the Commonwealth]], had an approval rating of 33.9%. In February, the Cabinet of the [[xlayzur administration]] voted 7:0:1 (aye-nay-abstain) to remove TabbQ as mayor, bringing an end to [[Aventura mayorship of TabbQ|his mayorship]], and a special election was held. From that time until the new mayor-elect assumed office, [[bigpappa140]] served as acting mayor of Aventura. The [[March 2024 Aventura mayoral election]] was declared, resulting in [[Dragons1ayer343]]'s election.

On 2 June, a petition was started to remove Dragons1ayer343 due to inactivity, and received 22 signatures the very same day. The following day, President [[GoldBlooded]] announced that the Cabinet voted non-unanimously to remove Dragons1ayer343, and a [[June 2024 Aventura mayoral election|special election]] was held. [[ItsKatto]] was elected, and [[Aventura mayorship of ItsKatto|his mayorship]] began on 8 June. His term ended in October, and [[CopTop_YT]] ascended to office following his automatic win in the [[October 2024 Aventura mayoral election]], due to CopTop_YT being uncontested in the election as other candidates were ineligible to run. CopTop_YT's term is scheduled to end in February 2025.
