Paramedic

Jobs
Paramedics are experienced doctors who are able to operate ambulances to pick up patients who may have difficulties traveling to the hospital.

Duties
Answer EMT Calls - Citizens will use <code>/emt</code> to request a paramedic. - Message the patient to determine their location (dynmap, buses, and using GPS-coords are acceptable too). - Run /emtattend when answering an EMT call. - Ask the patient how you may be of assistance and drive to the patient. - If the patient is contagious, give them a soothing potion to slow their symptom progress and drive them to the hospital.

Stock EMT Room - Ensure the EMT room has a good supply of bandages, leg splints, warm gel, and soothing potions. - Craft supplies if stock is running low.

Structure
Secretary of Health: Manages the department operations, creates and amends department policy. Works in determining Doctor of the Month.

Deputy Secretary of Health: Assists in the leadership of the department. Works in determining Doctor of the Month.

Medical Specialist: Responsible for general administration. Reports training records and evaluation records to Discord. Administers vaccines (currently unavailable), and attends patients.

Paramedic: Access to government-issued ambulance. Responds to EMT calls and transports patients to hospital. Is a doctor as well.

Doctor: The backbone of the department. Has had a successful evaluation. Attends patients.

Trainee Doctor: A doctor who has not completed their evaluation. Attends patients to gain experience.

Protocols
* Be patient when communicating with players. Keep calm and empathetic.
* Honesty is the best policy. If you make a mistake, own up to it.
* Paramedics are doctors as well. Do not ignore doctor duties (attending patients in the hospital), as this may lead to termination.
* Be mindful of fellow EMTs. Do not take all the supplies in the EMT room for yourself.
* Do not use your ambulance for personal reasons. Keep it stocked with pharmaceuticals and within easy reach.
* Obey all traffic laws. You must drive carefully and park appropriately.
* Never abuse Paramedic commands in any way.
* Never purposefully drive the patient to a location other than the intended hospital/clinic.
* Communicate with fellow EMTs and other department members. Ask for help when you need it.
* The Secretary reserves the right to dismiss poorly performing members of the department.

Doctor protocols and rules apply. Please check out the Doctor Guide.

RULES
* Paramedics should not lose their issued ambulance. Losing it will result in a fine equivalent to the price of the vehicle.
* Paramedics can store Leg Splints, Bandages, and Soothing Potions in the trunk of their ambulance to treat patients on-site.
** They may also attend government or server events to handle emergencies there.
* Paramedics cannot use their ambulance for personal usage. Doing so will result in a warning the first time.
** Doing so the second time will result in your Paramedic license + vehicle being revoked.
* If the patient does not have a contagious disease (such as Broken Legs or a Wound), you may treat them on location.
** Never hand out free treatments.

Procedure
# The patient will use the <code>/emt</code> command.
# If there are multiple paramedics online, you will indicate you are helping such a person in the DoH chat.
# You will <code>/emtattend <patient's username></code>
# You can use dynmap to locate the patient, ask for their nearest bus stop, or /gps-coords x y z the location. If the patient is in the wild, ask them to /spawn first, then take them to the hospital if necessary.
# Once you have reached the patient, you may give them a Soothing Potion if they have a contagious disease. Ask that they enter the ambulance.
# Drive the ambulance back to the hospital - ensure you are following all traffic laws.
# Once you have reached the hospital, direct the patient out of the ambulance into the hospital.
# Treat and handle the patient as a Doctor would. Patients can use Medicare to pay as well.

Application process
In order to apply for Paramedic, you will have to fill out an application and meet the appropriate requirements outlined here.

antonfr (Joined 21 November 2025; aka Anton Fontaine) is a Redmontian politican, economist and archivist, who served as Vice President of Redmont under xXTheoryXx until xXTheoryXx’s resignation. Prior to being elected as Vice President, he served as a 3 term representative, including a period as the Speaker of the House.

Outside of government, he works as an Economist at the DOC and an Archivist at the DOE. He has also served as Head of commerce of Oakridge.

Political career
Socialist People’s Alliance
Antonfr started his political career by co-founding the Socialist People's Alliance (SPA) with nechtoho. He was elected to the SPA's Council and was Chairperson of the party for three consecutive months before stepping down to serve on the fourth council. After his term, he stepped down from the party's leadership.

Workers’ Party of Redmont & House
After the Socialist People's Alliance dissolved into the Social Democrat Party, Anton didn't follow his fellow party members and instead joined the Workers' Party of Redmont (WPR) on 3 April 2026.

He was elected into the 36th House of Representatives in a special election on 18 April 2026, representing the Workers' Party.

He didn't manage to get re-elected in the May 2026 Congress general election missing out by a single second-preference vote, but was elected into the 37th Congress in a special to replace EATB on 5 June 2026.

Speaker of the House
On 17 June 2026, following the resignation of Speaker xXTheoryXx to become Secretary of commerce, Antonfr was elected Speaker of the House in a race that was uncontested. MJL_ was elected his deputy speaker the day after.

Antonfr won re-election into the House of Representatives in the 38th Congress, winning in the July 2026 Congress general election with second-most first preference votes, which meant he would serve in his third consecutive Congress session.

Vice Presidential Campaign
Main article: xXTheoryXx July 2026 presidential campaign

Following the dissolution of Congress, along with the resignation of President Just Jada with no Vice President, a special presidential election was set to take place.

Anton Fontaine was picked by Theory Fontaine to be his running mate for this election. They won the election and were sworn in on 25 June, winning a first round victory with over half of all votes cast.

Exit from the WPR
Anton left the Workers’ Party of Redmont alongside HatManMC and ElegantAlly after multiple controversies - including the leaking of an early proposal in private coalition chats which painted the administration in a poor view - impacted his view of the party negatively.

DemocracyCraft is the server where players make and amend the laws that govern them. Whether you’re a seasoned politician or a budding statesperson, this guide is designed to help those who want to change our nation.

<div class="figure">

</div>

Getting Started
1. Choose you path
* Local Government. Start your career in the town councils. Work your way to Mayorship and make a big impact in a small place!
* Federal Government. Start your career in the Federal arena. Run for Congress, work your way up through departments, or run for the presidency!
* Political Powerbroker. Join a political party or lobbying group and change the nation through persuasion and compromise.

2. Understand the Government
Explore the existing political structure. Understand the roles of elected officials, the legislative process, and the power dynamics within the government. Seek first to understand, then seek to be understood.

3. Elections and Campaigning
* Running for Office. Declare your candidacy for various positions. Craft a compelling platform and engage with voters to secure their support.
* Vote Wisely. As a citizen, make informed decisions during elections. Evaluate candidates based on their platforms and past performance.
* Joining a Political Party. To jumpstart your political journey in Redmont, consider joining an existing party. Visit the DemocracyCraft discord and research political parties in the parties forum channel to assist you with campaigning!
* Create a Political Party. Can’t find a political party that best represents your values? Create one yourself or run independent!

4. Legislation and Governance
* Propose Laws. As a politician, actively contribute by proposing legislation. Address the needs of the community and strive for positive change.
* Participate in Debates. Engage in debates to discuss policies, share your vision, and influence public opinion.

Elected Positions
In Redmont, various elected positions are available for individuals to pursue, including:

* President. As the highest-ranking official in the executive branch, the President oversees the branch’s operation and plays a significant role in policy-making. Due to the position’s responsibilities, stringent requirements must be met: candidates must have joined the server more than four months ago and have at least 300 hours of playtime. Presidential terms last four months.
* Senator. The Senate, the upper house of Congress, functions as a review board for legislation passed in the House of Representatives. Senators cannot introduce legislation but evaluate judicial and executive nominations. Senators serve four-month terms, and candidates must have a minimum of 72 hours of playtime.
* Representative. The House of Representatives, the lower house of Congress, is where bills originate and are crafted. Representatives serve two-month terms, and candidates must have at least 24 hours of playtime.
* Local Councils. Town positions are managed independently. Reach out to town mayors or check Discord channels for details. Local roles offer a great entry point for aspiring public servants.

Jesseya (Joined 13 June 2025), also known as Kat, was a politician in Redmont. She is known for her role in the Left Opposition (tLO), founding the Federation of Autonomous Spaces, her work in the Workers' Party of Redmont (HOR-WPR), and more recently her campaign under Redmont Liberation Front for House in the 38th Congress.

Political Career
Jesseya's political career started in the WPR. There, she created propaganda as part of WPR's Propaganda Committee, and became a member of the House of Representatives as a WPR candidate on 11 July 2025 (32nd Congress).

The Left Opposition
After her experience with Redmont politics, she formed her own party off the back of her session in House, called the Left Opposition. It was a libertarian socialist party, formed on 13 August 2025. TLO ran Jesseya as a candidate for Senate in the 33rd Congress (2 September 2025) and came close to winning a seat, but failed behind Inknet. and another time in the General Election for the 38th Congress.

Her campaign in the latter was suppressed by a mute she received by staff, but still managed to place 17th in a contest of 50 candidates (needed 11th). Her campaign included: subsidising unions, banning gambling ads, reinforcing the rights of renters, taxing banks, curbing DHS authority, and legalising militias. WPR endorsed Jesseya as a candidate for this election.

Deportation
On 12 July 2026, Jesseya was deported indefinitely following the June 2026 general strike. The punishment was due to 'respect, toxicity, and harassment'.

What Journalists Do
Journalist has no unique abilities or advantages as of now. This trade is purely cosmetic.

As a Journalist (J), your role is to contribute to the server’s news industry. There are various types of journalism you can pursue, each with its unique audience and style. As a journalist, you have access to the exclusive #exec-press channel in the DemocracyCraft Discord where you can ask question directly to the press secretary and other officials.

If you enjoy writing and publishing, this job is tailored for you.

Investigative/Watchdog Journalism
* Involves in-depth research to uncover and expose evidence of wrongdoing of figures or organizations, such as corporations and politicians.
* Monitors and reports activities with potential negative impacts on society.
* Requires comprehensive reports to support conclusions.

Broadcast Journalism
* Delivers news through audiovisual mediums such as YouTube videos, including news, entertainment, and more.

Opinion Journalism
* Reports on a topic using subjective ideas, including the journalist’s perspective and biases.
* Helps readers understand different viewpoints and values.

Trade Journalism
* Focuses on specific industries and reports on business movements and developments.

Entertainment Journalism
* Covers the current events of popular figures and trends in the entertainment industry.

Political Journalism
* Focuses on government, politics, and political candidates, both locally and nationally.

Making Money as a Journalist
As a journalist, there are two ways of making money. The first is by selling books through chestshops, with the books containing your news articles. After obtaining the Entrepreneur license from the University and creating a business, you can create an in-game company for selling newspapers.

The second way is to set up a Discord server for your news organisation, link it to the main DemocracyCraft server and set up a revenue model (such as subscriptions or offering advertisement spaces). In order to do this, you will need to invite the Utilities bot to your server. The bot can be found in the main DemocracyCraft Discord and if you view its profile, there will be a button to add it to your server (labelled + Add App). Once the bot is in your server, you will need to run the command "/news request" and fill in the channel that you will be posting news articles to, as well as a permanent link to your Discord server. It will then ask what news channel you are requesting to be added to - ensure that you click "DemocracyCraft News". Staff will review and accept it when they are available. You can also join another player's news network as a journalist.

Passed the Exam? Now What?
After passing the exam, it’s recommended to find a plot for your shop, rent one, or create a Discord server to operate your journalism business. The Department of Education wishes you the best of luck.

The Department of Public Affairs (DPA) is an executive department within the Commonwealth of Redmont. Established on 17 September 2020, it is tasked with organising and hosting server community events and contests, facilitating media grants, and managing private events. As a highly significant force in community outreach, the DPA serves as the primary bridge between the government and the player base. The department is currently headed by Secretary Spyders_crypt.

History and purpose
The DPA was founded to act as the central hub for server-wide community outreach and entertainment. Through hosting events, promoting the server on social media, and managing public relations, the department maintains an active and engaged player base.

Historically, the department has been responsible for creating some of Redmont's most beloved traditions. Notable historical contributions include:
* The creation of the traditional Presidential Roast.
* The development of DCTV.
* The implementation of seasonal events, such as the annual Haunted House.
* The spearheading of Red vs Blue, the first server-wide event designed to be completely free of time zone restrictions.

Leadership and secretaries
The Department of Public Affairs is led by the Secretary of Public Affairs, who oversees all operations, manages the department's budget, and sits on the President's Cabinet.

* Current Secretary: Spyders_crypt (also known in the community as Soy Beer) is currently operating as the department's acting Secretary and nominee, though his initial nomination faced delays in the Senate due to a lack of quorum.
* Former Leadership: Former notable figures include KukkiNeko, who served as acting secretary in early 2026, taking the position on 14 March before a nomination hearing on 25 March. SnoWhitebeard is also heavily recognised for her foundational work and contributions to shaping the modern DPA. (Note: A complete historical list of every former secretary is currently unavailable in the public records).

Structure and positions
The DPA features a structured hierarchy with multiple specialised roles to divide its creative and administrative workload:

* Secretary
** Manages overarching department operations, fulfils Cabinet duties, and implements policy adjustments.
* Deputy Secretary for Media and Archives
** Assists the Secretary in leadership, with a central focus on overseeing the archives and media operations.
* Media Director
** Acts as a subteam leader. Assists in leading Media Editors, votes on employee applications, and manages assigned media subteams.
* Event Coordinator
** Responsible for brainstorming, planning, and hosting official government events and community contests.
* Media Editor
** Creative experts responsible for producing visual media content to promote the server.

Daily duties of department staff
For the lower-level and entry-level employees in the department, day-to-day work is highly creative, collaborative, and interactive.

Media editors
Media Editors are divided into specific subteams: Marketing, Photography, Videography, and Graphic Design. They are required to submit some form of visual media at least once every other week. On a daily or weekly basis, they:
* Attend government and community events to take photographs or record video footage.
* Fulfil inter-departmental requests for visual designs, logos, and event graphics.
* Brainstorm, record, and edit short-form videos (such as TikToks, trailers, or skits) to promote the server.
* Run in-game and Discord advertisements and discuss strategies to boost social media engagement.

Event coordinators
Event Coordinators act as the logistical backbone of the DPA's public gatherings. They spend their time:
* Planning the logistics, rules, schedules, and prizes for upcoming server events and contests.
* Collaborating directly with Media Advisors to request promotional graphics and advertisements for their events.
* Actively hosting events in-game, managing private event requests, and ensuring smooth operations and moderation during community gatherings.

Former secretaries of public affairs
The Department of Public Affairs has had many Secretaries over its extensive history. While a historical record can be viewed at the museum, the individuals to serve as DPA Secretary are:

* The development of DCTV.

* Secretary
** Manages overarching department operations, fulfils Cabinet duties, and implements policy adjustments.
* Deputy Secretary for Media and Archives
** Assists the Secretary in leadership, with a central focus on overseeing the archives and media operations.
* Media Director
** Acts as a subteam leader. Assists in leading Media Editors, votes on employee applications, and manages assigned media subteams.
* Event Coordinator
** Responsible for brainstorming, planning, and hosting official government events and community contests.
* Media Editor
** Creative experts responsible for producing visual media content to promote the server.

Daily duties of department staff
For the lower-level and entry-level employees in the department, day-to-day work is highly creative, collaborative, and interactive.

Media editors
Media Rditora are divided into specific subteams: Marketing, Photography, Videography, and Graphic Design.
