Many of the buildings were initially created by Destiny himself, with land cordoned off with cobblestone slabs that designated plots that employees could claim. The Founders' Manor, which is among the oldest buildings in Mountain proper, was built in large part by BrustkleFurry. Other initial settlers include Itsfoxcraft9642, DarkQueen092399, Ironside525, and Noobly20932.

Initially, the town focused on two trades, woodcutting and mining. Tracks led from behind the Founders' Manor eastward and down into the earth to serve as the town's mine, while a large area to the north of town was designated as a tree farm. Several buildings were erected along one of the town's main roads to serve these trades. Mountain Ores contained numerous chest shops where miners could sell the ores they collected. Mountain Armory provided facilities for workers to craft, repair, and upgrade their equipment, as well as process raw ores. Additionally, there was a warehouse that was intended to store logs and other supplies; due to poor management, it was never used for this purpose. There was also a bakery and a speakeasy; neither ever saw use, and they were eventually torn down.

This document defined the structure of the government, creating a town council consisting of a Representative, who was the elected leader of the town, two other elected council members, and Lords, who were unelected permanent members of the council. The first council election would take place on 30 October, with YourLocalDiabeto becoming the Representative, and Ironside525 and Noobly20932 being the first elected council members.

On 27 October 2025, the town council voted to establish a court system in Mountain. [[ImzaKRD]] was put in charge of the court system as Chief Justice, with Culls sworn in as a regular justice in case ImzaKRD was found to have a conflict of interest in any court case. The new courts were put to the test on 6 November, when YourLocalDiabeto attempted to use the Impeachment Act, which had been signed into law the day before, to impeach Destiny2Guru for, among other reasons, "impeding the town and its progress". In his ruling, ImzaKRD declared: "[T]his Court finds that the Impeachment Act exceeds its constitutional authority and is unconstitutional and void." ImzaKRD would later step down on 10 December, leaving Mountain behind. Culls would then take ImzaKRD's place as Chief Justice.

Throughout late October and early November 2025, Noobly20932 began redeveloping and planning the layout of Mountain, changing plot boundaries to straighten existing roads, and paving roads in the same style as the InterWild 1 highway, which long predated Mountain's founding. The stretch of highway passing through Mountain would, after a council vote, be torn down and rebuilt so that municipal roads could connect to it. These developments would culminate in the passing of the Land, Road, and Road Signage Regulation Act on 4 November and the establishment of the Mountain Department of Construction and Transport on 6 November, with Noobly20932 designated as DCT secretary. As DCT secretary, Noobly20932 would begin producing "survey maps" each month, which are used to keep track of property ownership, usage, and development.

President [[Pepecuu]] of [[Redmont]], on an official visit to Mountain, would claim the Town Hall on behalf of Mountain, giving Mountain's leadership access to the claim.

On 10 November, the town council established the creation of a Department of State to oversee future elections, with the DoS secretary being designated as [[Talion77]].

From 7 December until 20 December 2025, the council worked diligently on making a new charter. This second charter would attempt to fix many of the flaws of the first one, such as expanding the number of council members from 2 to 3, renaming the title of Representative to Mayor and distancing it from the council, and enshrining several existing laws deemed fundamental to the government's function, including the Electoral Act. Along with this, several mechanisms were implemented to ensure that, even if several members of Mountain's government went inactive, the government could still get things done.

In the last week of 2025, ZxRiptide was hired to redesign the Town Hall's exterior to make it more appealing. Coinciding with this, Culls took it upon himself to furnish the interior of the Town Hall, with Noobly20932's help and oversight. The final design included a chamber for council meetings, a courtroom, and numerous offices.

Mountain's Post Office would be built during this time, with the Post Office Act signed into law on the 29th of December. That same day, Destiny2Guru would be nominated as Postmaster.

On 2 January 2026, State Secretary Talion77 would open declarations for the second council elections. Due to a lack of declarations, the election concluded on 13 January. Noobly20932 retained his seat on the council, ZxRiptide took the place of Ironside525, and Maxib02 won the newly created third council seat. On the 28th of February, Maxib02 put out an ad in the employment channel, seeking miners, farmers, construction workers, journalists, accountants, and finally, for a Treasury Secretary. This ad attracted over fifteen people to move to Mountain, with most coming in to work the fields, but with a few expressing intent for the new department's secretary position.

This caused panic and outrage across the wilderness community, and the following week would see a record-breaking 16 motions, resolutions, and bills land on the council floor, with many of them being signed off in mere hours. Most of the bills passed sought to increase Mountain's capability of defending itself, strengthening its court system, and granting Mountain the ability to declare allies, offer protection, and mark enemies.

On the 27th of March, Noobly20932 would sit down with Mironia's president, DaanBanaan5673, and the leader of the new Crimson Empire faction, Cassie45806, negotiating a permanent ceasefire to end the Mironian Civil War.

Coinciding with this, Culls took it upon himself to furnish the interior of the Town Hall, with Noobly20932's help and oversight. The final design included a chamber for council meetings, a courtroom, and numerous offices.

On 2 January 2026, State Secretary Talion would open declarations for the second council elections. Due to a lack of declarations, the election concluded on 13 January. Noobly20932 retained his seat on the council, ZxRiptide took the place of Ironside525, and Maxib02 won the newly created third council seat. As the Mayor was not up for re-election, YourLocalDiabeto remained as the Mayor of Mountain. The first official council meeting occurred just four days later, marking the first usage of the Town Hall for town affairs.

From 2 January until 18 January, Noobly20932 would iterate on banner designs, creating multiple opinion polls for the town's citizens to vote on. On 21 January, the final poll concluded with an official Mountain banner design finally being adopted. This banner would be placed around the town hall and at the gates of the town.

Even by December 2025, Mountain was growing southwards towards Barren Valley. Ideas of annexing and redeveloping the ruined settlement floated about. Towards the end of January 2026, the annexation process began, with the construction of Granite Road connecting to Barren Valley's Flyhack Avenue and the widening of the underpass where Flyhack passed under InterWild 3. The annexation process officially began on 3 February, with Flyhack Avenue widened to 6 blocks and being relabeled Flyhack Street. With help from Ironside525 representing Redmont's Department of the Interior, as well as the founder of Barren Valley SpaceHombre, locked blocks would be cleaned up, more roads would be widened, holes would be filled, trees would be planted, and buildings would be rebuilt. This would culminate with Mountain's eastern gate being moved east of what had become the Barren Valley Historic District, with several plots designated for future citizens to claim and settle into.

====Founding====
Mountain was founded by Destiny2Guru and YourLocalDiabeto on 19 October 2025, in the mountains between the ruins of [[Barren Valley]] and Central Flats Airstrip. It was initially intended to be a company town for a company by the same name, where employees of various trades would live and work. To make room for buildings, the terrain was made flat using drills, and any holes or caves were paved over with stone.

Many of the buildings were initially created by Destiny himself, with land cordoned off with cobblestone slabs, which designated plots that employees could claim. The Founders' Manor, which is among the oldest buildings in Mountain proper, was built in large part by BrustkleFurry. Other initial settlers include Itsfoxcraft9642, DarkQueen092399, Ironside525, and Noobly20932.

Initially, the town focused on two trades, woodcutting and mining. Tracks led from behind the Founders' Manor eastward, and down into the earth, to serve as the town's mine, while a large area to the north of town was designated as a tree farm. Several buildings were erected along one of the town's main roads to serve these trades. Mountain Ores contained numerous chest shops where miners could sell the ores they collected. Mountain Armory would provide facilities to allow workers to craft, repair, and upgrade their equipment, as well as process their copper, iron, and gold. Additionally, there was a warehouse that was intended to store logs and other supplies, however due to poor management, it was never actually used for this purpose. There was also a bakery and a speakeasy, however neither ever saw use, and were eventually torn down.

====First government====
On 23 October 2025, YourLocalDiabeto motioned to establish a charter for the growing town. This document defined the structure of the government, creating a town council consisting of a Representative, who was the elected leader of the town, two other elected council members, and Lords, who were unelected permanent members of the council. The first council election would take place on 30 October, with YourLocalDiabeto becoming the Representative, and Ironside525 and Noobly20932 being the first elected council members.

On 27 October 2025, the town council voted to establish a court system in Mountain. ImzaKRD was put in charge of the court system as Chief Justice, with Culls brought in to be a regular justice in case ImzaKRD was found to have a conflict of interest in whatever court case was occuring at the moment. The new courts would be put to the test on 6 November, when YourLocalDiabeto attempted to use the Impeachment Act, which had been signed into law the day before, to impeach Destiny2Guru for, among other reasons, "impeding the town and its progress". In his ruling, Imza declared: "this Court finds that the Impeachment Act exceeds its constitutional authority and is unconstitutional and void." Imza would later step down on 10 December, leaving Mountain behind. Culls would then take Imza's place as Chief Justice.

Throughout late October and early November 2025, Noobly20932 began redeveloping and planning the layout of Mountain, changing plot boundaries to straighten existing roads, and paving roads in the same style as the InterWild 1 highway, which long predated Mountain's founding. The stretch of highway passing through Mountain would, after a council vote, be torn down and rebuilt, that municipal roads could connect to it. These developments would culminate in the passing of the Land, Road, and Road Signage Regulation Act on 4 November, and the establishment of the Mountain Department of Construction and Transport on 6 November, with Noobly20932 designated as DCT secretary. As DCT secretary, Noobly20932 would begin producing "survey maps" each month, which are used to keep track of property ownership, usage, and development.

On 9 November, Destiny2Guru would construct what would become Mountain Town Hall. However, due to various reasons, it would sit unused for around two months. President Pepecuu of Redmont, on an official visit to Mountain, would claim the Town Hall to protect in on behalf of Mountain, giving Mountain's leadership access to the claim.

On 10 November, the town council established the creation of a Department of State to oversee future elections, with the DoS secretary being designated as Talion11.

====Second government====
From 7 December until 20 December 2025, the council worked diligantly on making a new charter. This second charter would attempt to fix many of the flaws of the first one, such as expanding the number of council members from 2 to 3, renaming the title of Representative to Mayor and distancing it from the council, and enshrining several existing laws deemed fundamental to the government's function, including the Electoral Act. Along with this, several mechanisms were implemented to ensure that, even if several members of Mountain's government went inactive, the government could still get things done.

Greenmont was founded in the April of 2024 by SpaceHombre and DK3458 after they agreed to found a [[Barren Valley|settlement]] at a small complex of SpaceHombre's buildings east of Central Flats Airstrip.

Greenmont grew, building a new "capital city" farther east, dubbed Magnopolis. Unfortunately, they had conflicts with local groups such as the 1008 Mafia and Anderella (later the [[Central Flats Merchant Republic]]). After both groups mostly disappeared, Greenmont existed in peace until Nebrasken64, a longtime resident of Anderella, forced Greenmont out of the region. They built a new settlement on an island near Geographe Airstrip, which was named Alparion.

On 27 January 2026, after months of stagnancy, DK3458 announced that Greenmont was to be disbanded, and its government dissolved.
