Redmont University (often referred to as simply "The University") is a key location in DemocracyCraft. You can visit it by running the
/university
command, or alternatively running the
/warps
command and selecting "University."

There are 5 wings of Redmont University. Within these wings, you can take exams and find links to apply for government roles.

Exams
Within the university, you can find various rooms with lecturns inside them. Above these lecturns there are often signs, which upon clicking will start an exam. To get into a certain line of work, you will often need to pass one of these exams.

During an exam, questions will be sent to you in chat, and you must run the
/exams <letter>
command to answer the question. You can spend as much time in the exam as you'd like. Note that sharing exam answers with other players is against the law.

To study for the exam, please check the other guides on this wiki.

Once you have passed an exam, you will be given one of the following qualifications based on what you were taking the exam for:
* a Profession (i.e. the exam for lawyer)
* a License (i.e. the exam for entrepreneur)

Navigation and Layout
The university has several wings for each school, which can be navigated by following the coloured lines on the ground. A map is shown at the front of the university, so navigation should not be too complicated.

How to Find
To access the wild, follow these steps:

* Type
/airport
to teleport to the airport.
* Walk forwards and find a desk.
* On the desk, right-click a monitor.
* A GUI will appear. From the GUI, click on one of the six starting airstrips, which are displayed as fern icons.
* You will have now teleported to an Airstrip. From an Airstrip, walk 75 blocks out to reach the wild.
Sandy Shores Airstrip
Starts as a desert area with lots of cacti. However, if you keep walking forwards about 50 blocks into the wild area, you can find a lot of grass. Keep going to enter a jungle biome.

Geographe Airstrip
A forest biome. Walk forwards away from the airstrip to find a large amount of bamboo, a massive cave, and an abundance of water.

Victoria Forest Airstrip
A small spruce forest that transitions into a large lake. Across the lake, there is a torn-up forest biome.

Central Flats Airstrip
A savanna biome. Lots of acacia trees and flat, open plains.

April Meadows Airstrip
A flattened forest biome.

Stirling Range Airstrip
A thick forest full of short trees. Leave the thick forest and enter the wild to find a flattened forest biome.

Quaker Forest Airstrip
A large river awaits you. Cross the river to enter the wild, which is a savanna biome.

Pharmacists are legally allowed to manufacture and sell pharmaceutical medical treatments to players privately.

They can also view the following information that regular players cannot:
*
/disease list
: Provides players with a list of diseases and their cures.
** Cold: Put on armor, seek shelter, or stand near a fire.
What Pharmacists Do
Pharmacists play a vital role in DemocracyCraft by providing essential medical treatments to players. Here’s what pharmacists typically do:

* Manufacture Treatments: Pharmacists craft various medical treatments to treat common ailments such as broken legs, flesh wounds, and more. These treatments are essential for players seeking medical assistance.
* Sell Medical Goods: Once the cures are crafted, pharmacists can sell them to players privately. This role helps ensure that players can access critical medical treatments outside the hospital.
* Resource Gathering: To create medical treatments, pharmacists need to gather resources, either by purchasing them from player shops or collecting them in the wild.
Recipes
To make treatments, you must craft them in a crafting table using the following recipes.

Note: The following treatments are available for pharmacists. Other treatments for diseases like tetanus and culicid fever are exclusive to doctors.
Crafting
To craft a firearm yourself, you need to place materials in the right shape in a crafting table. Recipe books containing the recipes for all the guns and ammo you can make can be found on the second floor of the government store, which can be found in the town hall. Find the town hall by following the arrow after running the command
/gps start govshop
. Or, you can find recipes through the
/ia
 command, under the Weaponry tab.
* Crafting Ammo: In addition to weapons, crafting ammunition is a part of your job. Ensure you have the knowledge and materials to craft various types of ammo.
Crafting
To craft a firearm yourself, you need to place materials in the right shape in a crafting table. Recipe books containing the recipes for all the guns and ammo you can make can be found on the second floor of the government store, which can be found in the town hall. Find the town hall by following the arrow after running the command
/gps start govshop
.

To gather resources for crafting, you can either buy them from other player shops or obtain them yourself in the wild. Buying from other players is more expensive, but it's less time-consuming.
Making Money
There are a few different ways to start earning money with your new profession:

* Purchase or rent a shop to sell your products. You can find available plots for sale/lease under #realty-adverts on our Discord server. For more information on how to set up a chest shop, check out the Chest Shops Guide.
* Use the #marketplace channel in Discord to auction off your goods. You get to choose the starting price, and interested players can bid higher on your auctions.
* If you don't want to do all of the business on your own, you can join a player-owned company to work for with the Discord #employment channel: DC Employment
Here is the syntax for the command:
/find
<type>
If the fields are left blank and the player only types /find, then the item in their hand will be searched for.
Spawn is located in the city of Reveville, at the coordinates 2724 71 4152.

Notable Features
The spawn of DemocracyCraft is once of the busiest places in the server. Around the spawn, you can see a variety of holograms (floating text) that give information on how to play the server.

Underneath spawn is the tutorial, which can be accessed by the ramp at spawn. This tutorial area provides even more information about the server, in a ring-shaped underground room. To leave this area, walk up the stairs and back to spawn.

Other Spawnpoints
While "Spawn" generally refers to the main spawn of DemocracyCraft, there are technically other spawnpoints. You can access these alternative spawnpoints by typing various commands such as
/spawn-north
or
/spawn-west
.

Art is a feature in DemocracyCraft which can be accessed by using an easel and canvas. This feature allows you to create custom images using various tools and colours.

How to access
To be able to access the art feature, you need to pass the Designer exam at the Redmont University.

After that, you must obtain an easel and canvas. You can view the recipes for these items by typing
/art
after passing your exam.

Dyes
To make a piece of art, you will need dyes. A full list of dyes can be seen in the
/art
menu, some of which are not technically dyes in vanilla Minecraft (for example: you can paint with an emerald to get a bright green colour).

Finalising
To save a piece of art, you need to craft a paintbrush.

Then, click the easel with the canvas on it, and right click with the paintbrush. It will prompt you to name the painting.

Once you have named the artwork, the finalised canvas will be given to you, and it will also be saved in the
/art
menu where other people can temporarily view it.

Note that only the original author can create copies of an art piece.

Making copies
To make copies of a painting, you must get an empty map in your inventory and open the
/art
menu.

Once you have opened the /art menu, click the far-right option labelled "Artworks." In this menu, you can view a list of every artwork of the server.

Then, select your own player head. After that, another menu listing all your artwork will appear. From the list, click the artwork that you would like to make a copy of. Then, right click the icon which looks like the sprite of a written map and says the title of the artwork.

Now, you will have another copy of your artwork!

As a Lawyer, your primary job is to consult players seeking legal advice, represent players in court, and marry couples.

The legal profession has three exams which must be taken in chronological order: Legal A > Legal B > Legal C. - Legal A awards the solicitor title. - Legal B awards the barrister title. - Legal C awards the attorney title.

What Lawyers Do
Lawyers in Redmont have several important roles:

- Legal Advisors: Players seek legal advice from lawyers, requiring you to provide guidance on legal matters.

- Court Representatives: You represent players in court cases, either as a defense attorney or a prosecutor.

- Marriage Services: Lawyers have the authority to marry two players, provided both parties consent. You can also handle divorce proceeEngs.

Marrying
In order to marry two players, they both need to consent. Abuse of this permission to marry players will be monitored by staff. You may charge for your services in both marriage and divorce.

Commands: - /marry
playername

playername
- Marries two players. - /marry divorce
playername

playername
- Divorces two players.

Becoming a Lawyer
To become a lawyer, you must pass three exams at the university: Legal A, Legal B, and Legal C.

These exams test your analytical skills, fact-finding abilities, and knowledge of legal terms. Outside research into legal matters and court proceedings on DemocracyCraft is necessary.
