Pharmacists manafacture and sell medical treatments to DemocracyCraft players via private businesses. They follow policies set by the Department of Health to provide treatments outside of the hospital.

Abilities
Pharmacists produce pharmaceutical treatments that can be sold at DoH approved Pharmacies, including the lobby of Hospitals and player-owned pharmacies. Their main job is to supply Pharmacies with pharmaceutical cures.

In order to be in touch with policy changes it is recommended to Join the Dept. Health Discord Server! https://discord.gg/xjRHwJsxAV

Owning a Pharmacy
Once you become a Pharmacist you can rent one of the pre-built Pharmacies around <code>/gps hospital</code>.

If you would like to build your own Pharmacy it will need to be approved by the Department of Health. On your application, you must include:

* The owner of the pharmacy
* At least one operating location
* The responsible pharmacist for each operating location

Once your pharmacy is approved, you will need to pay a one-time registration fee of $500. Additional locations can be added to the registration with a $100 fee for each newly approved location.

To sustain your Pharmacy, you will have to make a monthly payment of $100 for each location listed on your registration. The payment needs to be registered by the Health Secretary — you will have to join the DoH Discord for more information.

Rules and DoH Policies regarding Pharmacists
The DoH Pharmacist Guide and Pharmacy Policy should be used as the ultimate source of rules for a pharmacist. Below are key points to keep in mind:
* A person may only own one Pharmacy.
* A Pharmacy may operate from multiple locations.
* Pharmacies can only sell Pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, supplies used to craft treatments, and custom food and drink excluding elixirs.
* Pharmaceuticals cannot be sold outside of a licensed pharmacy.
* Treatments cannot be administered directly by pharmacists.
* All pharmaceutical items must be sold either by chest shops or by the reception, but must be sold individually.
* Pharmaceutical items can be sold for no more than double the Medicare coverage for that treatment.
* The Pharmacies can run their own insurance systems that give you coverage at a certain Pharmacy if someone is a regular customer. Such marketing deals are not the DoH's responsibility, but they are an option.
* All Pharmacies must be ran in accordance with the DoH protocol.
* The policies may change at the discretion of the Secretary of Health.
* Pharmacies that break DoH protocol can be instantly removed by the DoH.
* Pharmacists that break DoH protocol can be instantly terminated by the Secretary.

Recipes
To make treatments, you must craft them with a brewing stand and a crafting table.

Full list of recipes can be found using <code>/recipes</code> in-game.
What to Do After Passing the Exam
Once you’ve passed the exam, you can either rent one of the pre-built Pharmacies near the Reveille Main Hospital, or you can seek DoH approval to open your own Pharmacy. You will have to open a DoH ticket on Discord and join the DoH Discord, so that the DoH can register your business and keep record of it.

To gather resources, you can either buy them from player shops with the <code>/find</code> command, or collect them in the wild. (Check <code>/map</code> if you’re looking for a specific biome).
A Developer licence allows you to create leasehold subregions for freehold regions. This is useful for when you are trying to create:

* Apartments
* Market Stalls
* Stores
* Offices
* ...and any other rentable spaces!

Creating these subregions only require you to select the space and run one simple command!

Subregion Wand
* Grab a wand, run <code>/realty subregion wand</code>
* Select your area by right clicking all the corners with your wand
* Run <code>/realty subregion confirm</code>, set your height, price, max extensions etc.

Leasing Updates
Landlords can no longer instantly change the rent on existing tenant. Instead they must propose a modification like so:

/realty modify <price/duration/maxextensions> <value>

The new terms apply the next time the tenant extends their lease, and the tenant can simply decline by not renewing, letting the lease end naturally.

Selecting your Space
The shape of your proposed rental will determine how you select your subregion's space.

Cuboid (rectangle/square)
If you plan on having your rental be a rectangle or square, follow these steps.

# Place two blocks marking the corners of your space
# Run <code>//wand</code> to grab a WorldEdit wand
# LEFT CLICK your first corner corner with your wand
# RIGHT CLICK your second corner with your wand

You should now see a preview of your selection using little fire particles, confirm that is the correct selection.

If it is incorrect, you can run the command <code>//sel</code> and repeat Steps 1 to 4 again.

Now you are ready to run the subregion command, see the Subregion Command section.

Polygon
If you plan on having your rental NOT be rectangle or square, follow these steps.

# Place blocks marking each corner of your space

Each argument is explained below

* <parentRegion> - This is the region that your rental is inside of. You can only have one parent. e.g. c100
* <name> - This is the name of your new rental. e.g. cool-apt-1
* <price> - This is the dollar price of your rental, do not include any currency sign. e.g. 100.25
* <duration> - This is the duration of your lease period. e.g. 30d
** For duration, you can use the following suffixes: `s (seconds), m (minutes), h (hours), d (days), w (weeks)`

Example: <code>/realty subregion quickcreate c100 cool-apt-1 100.25 30d</code>

* This creates a new subregion inside c100 called cool-apt-1, which you can pay $100.25 every 30 days to lease (rent)

Additional Information
* Your subregion cannot have more than one parent. In such cases, ask a Staff member to region for you
* You can only create LEASEHOLD subregions
* You cannot overlap with other subregions
* The landlord is automatically set to you
* Subregions must have meet the minimum size of 20 BLOCKS
* Resizing, changing landlord, price, or duration requires a Staff member
* You can clear your selection any time by running <code>//sel</code>
* To go back to Cuboid mode, run <code>//sel cuboid</code>
A Developer licence allows you to create leasehold subregions for freehold regions. This is useful for when you are trying to create:

* Apartments
* Market Stalls
* Stores
* Offices
* ...and any other rentable spaces!

Creating these subregions only require you to select the space and run one simple command!

Subregion Wand
* Grab a wand, run <code>/realty subregion wand</code>

YOU CANNOT SKIP THIS STEP!)

Subregion Command
<code>/realty subregion quickcreate <parentRegion> <name> <price> <duration></code>

* Only the plot owner is able to create subregions

The news industry in Redmont is a branch of the media industry. It includes in-game newspapers and web-based news distribution such as via Discord, YouTube, and websites.

History
The first #news-based newspaper was Democracy Daily, founded by Westray in late August 2020. Other early news outlets active in 2020 include The Hamilton Times, The Atrium Tribune, and Central Frequency News.

From 2021 to 2022, the industry matured. Politico emerged, as did The Redmont Journal, The Daily Chip, Royal Eagle News, and Resling News. From 2022 to 2024 the industry remained relatively the same, with new outlets emerging and old outlets becoming inactive.

In 2024, the news industry saw a decrease in activity. Outlets such as Virtus News, The Daily Chip, News, and ColonelKai's Theory & Politika Redmont were promiment, as well as the satirical The Radish. xEndeavour's Politico shifted toward more biased reporting and Redmont Media was directly operated by the Patriotic Coalition of Redmont-funding nonprofit Redmont for Equal Citizens.

2025 saw a resurgence in activity in the industry and the establishment of new outlets, due in part to the Trolligarch wave. In January, The Reveille Times made its debut and quickly became a leading source of news and information. The Reveille Times publishes its articles to its website, inspiring other outlets, such as Alexandrian News and Paper News to do the same. Later in the first half of the year outlets such as MSMBS News and satirical newspapers such as DC Truth Daily, Georg Street, and GnomeCorp arrived.

The year 2026 brought in many more news outlets, partly due to the Yeah Jaron wave; but before the wave, the first news sources added to the newsfeed were VoidNews and DC Independent Publishers NPO, later followed by Plura Writting Corporation, MZP, Bloomberg Originals and Bloomberg News. The final news sources added January 2026 were Sanctum Exchange Corporation, The Gazzete, Torchlight Media, Horizon (DC), and Alexandrian News. All of these news companies seems to have since disappeared; and that appears to be the case for almost every single news source. The only news channel that still has a valid link seems to be Stanley582's server, now known as The News Network or TNN (previously called Cable News Network or CNN). Many other news organisations were added to the newsfeed, none of them seem to still be active as of 18:07 ET, on 26 August 2026.

The first news company added after the Yeah Jaron wave seems to be Raz-TPA News, along with The Residential Post. Many news sources have since been added; although few have stayed. DemocracyCraft has also not seen The Reveille Times in awhile. On 13 July 2026, The Reveille Times started reposting the same news article via their bot called "The Reveille Times | LIVE". And on 13 August 2026, their publisher lukadelrey stated that they were going to take a break from news. As of 18:34 ET, on 26 August 2026, The Reveille Times has not posted anything since 16 July 2026. And on 13 August 2026, their publisher lukadelrey stated that they were going to take a break from news. And on 13 August 2026, their publisher lukadelrey stated that they were going to take a break from news.<ref>
