The '''Bar Association of Redmont''' (BAR), formerly known as the Redmont Bar Association (RBA), is a government entity separate from any branch. They operate to manage the legal profession, ensure legal compliance, and disbar members.

== History ==
In 2022, the Redmont Bar Association was formed by the “INSERT ACT”. The Redmont Bar Association was established as a legal government entity responsible for overseeing the legal profession and everything related to it.

The original Council consisted of, [[Magills0819]], [[TpersonH]], [[LilNickiVert]], and with [[Drew_Hall]] being the Chair.

However in 2025 the Redmont Bar Association was removed by “INSERT ACT”. The reasons for this was the RBA had not done anything to benefit the members or the Commonwealth. They had only done disbarments and nothing more.

In 2026 however, Representative [[ToadKing]] had proposed the reintroduction of the RBA, they had stated "Establishing a professional association for lawyers encourages cooperation, professional development, and the progress of legal standards.” and "The current “BAR”, established under [https://www.democracycraft.net/threads/executive-order-37-25-the-bar-bring-it-forth.32751/ Executive Order 37/25], is ill-equipped to facilitate the duties for which it was created.” The bill was then passed by the senate and received Presidential Assent from President [[Technofied]].

The Department of State held elections shortly afterwards, resulting in the founding Council being elected. The founding Council consisted of [[Culls]], [[AsexualDinosaur]], [[TheSnowGuardian]], [[Anthony_org]], with [[Dr_Eksplosive]] being the Chairperson of the RBA.

Around a month later the “BAR Act” had been proposed, passed, and received presidential assent. This renamed the RBA to BAR, as it was originally named the BAR.

== Governance ==
The BAR is governed by a Council of 5 members, one of which is the Chairperson of the BAR. The Council votes on motions proposed by fellow Councilors, these may include but are not limited to, policy changes, legal qualification changes, legal exam changes, and guides.

The BAR Chairperson (or Chair for short) is the head of the BAR, their duties, according to the “Redmont Bar Association Act”, are as follows:

* Act as first among equals and spokesperson for the RBA;
* Represent the RBA in public communications;
* Cast the deciding vote in the event of a tied Council vote; and
* Hold no additional powers beyond those held by other Councillors, as stated in Section 2.

The Chair may be removed from the position, without losing their Council seat, by an unanimous vote of the Councilors.

According to the “Redmont Bar Association Act”, no Council member shall hold:

* The position of President, Vice President, or Attorney General;
* A seat in Congress; or
* A Judicial Officer appointment.

Membership into the BAR is granted automatically to all with Solicitor+ as their legal qualification. Members of the BAR can give out suggestions to the Council, vote on new Council members, and gain important information on the current state of their license to practice law.

Health is one of the unique features in DemocracyCraft, where players can acquire certain diseases and injuries. When players get said conditions, they can visit either a hospital, or a pharmacy depending on their disease.

You can get sick based on your actions, and your environment. For example, you can break your limbs by taking damage or taking too much fall damage, or get infected by another player bearing contagious diseases
