Overview
The government is the centerpiece of all of DemocracyCraft. As a construct developed by its players, it is the core that makes Redmont what it is today. The constitution, the laws, and the policies are all created and enforced by players like you. Though it may appear to be a homogeneous structure, the government is filled with jobs that keep the others in check and positions that exist to make sure everything can move smoothly in times of turmoil.

Tractors are exclusive vehicles used for harvesting and replanting crops in a large area. There are multiple types of tractor, each with their own color, corresponding to better stats. To use a tractor, you must have the Farmer trade.
Tractors can be bought from the Reveille Dealership, found with <code>/gps start dealership</code>. The first tractor, the Yellow Tractor, is $5,000. Alternatively, you can also obtain a tractor from the crates at spawn, or by buying them from a player.
There are three types of tractors: the Yellow Tractor, the Red Tractor, and the Green Tractor. The yellow tractor is the cheapest and the least effective, while the green tractor is the most expensive and the most effective.
* Right-Click to mount the tractor
Upon mounting the tractor, the engine will start up, and you will be able to move using WASD.
* Strafe (A/D) to turn the tractor
To use the tractor, drive over fully grown crops to harvest and immediately replant them. The tractor will collect and replant using its internal inventory.
* Right-Click while mounted to open the tractor's inventory
Your drill can be refilled by crouching and right-clicking it while outside of the drill, then clicking fuel in your inventory. Fuel is often sold by mechanics and can be found with <code>/find vehicle_fuel</code>.

Entrepreneurs are people with the right to create and run a company. In order to start your own company, an entrepreneur license is required. Please note that you do not need an entrepreneur's license to make a chestshop.

Once you pass the exam, it's your qualification to keep!

Information
Note: Entrepreneur is not a job. It is a qualification which you can get on top of having a regular job. Being an entrepreneur does not earn government wages.

All entrepreneurs should first read the businesses guide to understand the basics of starting a business. To create and register your business, run <code>/db create</code>. Upon creation, it is expected that you deposit some money into the business to grant it credibility. This is called the Default Capital.

As a business owner, it is useful to know who is best for what job. For example, if you are looking for a supplier of farming goods for your store, you may want to hire a farmer as their exclusive farming equipment may be useful.

Unique Abilities
Anyone can start a business by setting up a chest shop, but only entrepreneur-qualified players have access to the command /ad.
How to use /ad: Type your ad after /ad<blockquote>For example: /ad Come on down to the Cookie Store at [location name/coordinates], we sell cookies and more!</blockquote><div class="figure">

Theft, or Robbery, refers specifically to the act of stealing money from an NPC, ATM or Bank. It can be a great source of income for criminals looking to fill their pockets. There exist three types of robberies: NPC robberies, ATM robberies, and bank robberies.

NPC robberies are typically low risk, low reward. ATM robberies are low risk medium reward, with the catch that they go on cooldown if you fail. Lastly, bank robberies are high risk, high reward, also going on cooldown regardless of if you succeed or fail.

NPC Robberies
Occasionally, you'll see NPCs standing or walking around. Many of these NPCs can be robbed for their personal cash. To initiate a robbery, walk up to an NPC and right click them. You'll be challenged to a duel, where you will answer questions they ask. If you answer correctly, they will hand you $100. If you answer incorrectly, the police will be alerted of your attempted robbery and you will receive a wanted star. Each rob attempt can net up to a total of $300.

ATMs can be robbed of their internal cash storages by hacking into them and unlocking the safe. Failing to hack an ATM will put the ATM on cooldown for 4 hours, where you will be unable to hack it. Successfully hacking the ATM will reward you with $500. Police are not notified when you fail a hack, but are when you succeed, so be ready to flee if needed.
For those not satisfied with mere muggings and hacking minigames, there is a target for only the most daring. The Bank of Redmont can be broken into by criminals seeking the wealth inside its vault, offering a substantial sum to anyone bold enough to sound the alarms.

To start a bank robbery, at least one police officer must be online and the bank must not have been robbed recently. Make your way to the vault door and enter to begin the robbery. The ladder will lead you into a labyrinth of twisting tunnels that you must navigate to find the riches stored within and then to escape. Within this tunnel system, there are two types of loot:
* Gold Blocks give between $5 and $20 upon breaking them.
* Diamond Blocks give between $20 and $50 upon breaking them.
Not all substances are legal- and for good reason. From buffs that make you more powerful to just really strong liquor, you can get some good money selling these to people. Just be warned, as if you are caught with these substances on you, you can be arrested and fined.
So where do you buy and sell this all anyway? Black markets are regions of Redmont that are not subject to the law and can sell whatever they please. The most popular one, the Reveille Black Market, is located at <code>2809 69 4170</code>. Down there, you can find all sorts of tools and substances that can either help you commit crime or just let loose. All black market stalls are prefixed with <code>bm</code> at the start of their plot name, allowing you to locate each shop with <code>/gps</code>.

Theft
<small>Full Article: Theft</small>

Not all crime is about the production of illicit goods. Sometimes it's just better to outright steal cash. Certain NPCs, like Robert, are able to be intimidated and robbed for cash. You can also steal cash from ATMs spread out across Redmont, earning you $500 per machine. Lastly, you can target the Bank of Redmont, which has a vault that you can enter and steal a vast fortune from.

Getting Caught
Alas, though there are many things you can do as a criminal, you can only get so far running from the law. Upon being arrested by a police officer, you will be charged with all crimes you have been recorded committing and forced to not only pay a fine but serve jail time as well. But it would not be an unknown punishment, as all punishments are documented on the forum.

After serving your time, you will be let free with a clean slate. Whether you choose to keep it that way is for you to decide.
The real estate industry involves the buying, selling, leasing, and management of properties, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties, as well as land. Realtors play a crucial role in this industry by facilitating transactions between buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants.

What Realtors Do
As a Realtor, your primary responsibilities involve managing and facilitating real estate transactions. Here’s a summary of what Realtors do:

* Facilitating the buying, selling, leasing, and management of various types of properties.
* Assisting clients in identifying suitable properties that match their needs and preferences.
* Conducting property viewings, negotiations, and closing transactions.
* Setting and earning commissions for your services, typically based on a percentage of the property’s value or rent.
* Collaborating with property owners, buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants to ensure successful transactions.
* Adhering to real estate laws, regulations, and ethical standards throughout the process.
* Working with clients to navigate legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to real estate transactions.
* Providing valuable insights and guidance on the real estate market, pricing, and investment opportunities.

Commission
When operating a real estate business, it is important to establish a commission rate for your agents to earn a share of sales revenue. Typically, a 5-6% commission per sale is standard, ensuring employees are compensated while maintaining company operating funds (e.g., on a $30,000 sale, an employee earns either $1,500 or $1,800).

In rental transactions, the commission structure may be different. Landlords often pay agents a fee equivalent to one month’s rent or a percentage of the annual rent, typically 8-10% (e.g. if rent on an apartment is $100/month, and $1,200 annually, an employee earns either $100 or a selection between $96, $108, or $120 depending on the landlord).

To determine commission, multiply your price by 0.05 or 0.06 in the case of example A. In the case of example B, multiply your price by 0.08, 0.09, or 0.10, e.g. $30,000 * 0.05 = $1,500; $1,200 * 0.09 = $108.

Structuring
A basic real estate company structure typically consists of several key roles and departments that work together to facilitate property transactions and manage the business. Here’s an overview of a typical structure:

# Owner/CEO: The owner or CEO is responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and financial management of the company. They make high-level decisions and set the direction for the business.
# Broker: The broker oversees the real estate agents and ensures that they are operating within the legal and ethical guidelines of the industry. Brokers are licensed professionals who have met specific educational and experience requirements. They may also be involved in buying, selling, or leasing properties.
# Real Estate Salesperson: Salespeople are professionals who work with clients to buy, sell, or lease properties. They represent buyers, sellers, landlords, or tenants in real estate transactions and are typically compensated through commissions.
# Office Manager/Administrative Staff: The office manager and administrative staff handle day-to-day operations, such as answering tickets, scheduling appointments, maintaining client records, and managing data.
# Marketing Department: The marketing team is responsible for promoting the company and its listings. They may also create marketing materials for individual agents and assist with branding efforts.
# Property Management Department: If the company offers property management services, this department oversees the day-to-day operations of rental properties.
# Finance Department: The finance team is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, budgeting, invoicing, and payroll. They ensure the financial health of the business and may also assist with compliance.
# Legal and Compliance: This department ensures that the company and its agents adhere to real estate laws, regulations, and industry standards. They may also handle legal disputes, contract reviews, and risk management.

Property Managers
A property manager is an individual or company that is hired by a Realtor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a unit of real estate. Property owners and real estate investors typically hire property managers when they are unwilling or unable to manage the properties themselves. Apartment complexes, retail malls, and business offices are common types of commercial property that are run by property managers.

The property manager’s responsibilities might include supervising and coordinating building maintenance and work orders, resolving tenant concerns and complaints, advertising, showing and leasing vacant units, and communicating regularly with the property owner on the status of the property. The property manager is the owner’s eyes and ears on the property, making certain that issues are being dealt with promptly and the property itself is cared for professionally.

Appraisers
The term appraiser refers to a professional who determines the market value of an asset, notably in the real estate industry. An appraiser is expected to act independently of the buying and selling parties in a transaction. Their opinion about the real and fair value of an appraised asset must be unbiased by using observations as well as relevant statistics, facts, and other information. Depending on the circumstances, the appraiser presents their findings in a written or verbal appraisal.

Appraisers attempt to attach a dollar value to items, but their services are mainly used to determine real estate values. Investors generally hold an appraiser’s work in high regard because of the lack of liquidity associated with assets such as these items.

All appraisers are expected to be alert and take notice of every aspect and characteristic that affects the value of an asset. In the case of real estate, for instance, this may include assessing things like the view offered by the property. Obstructions by neighboring buildings may also affect the value of a property, and the general condition of the building and grounds will also be taken into consideration.

Further Information
* As a Realtor, you are permitted to exceed plot limits for c, i, s, and r plots by 5 each, provided the plots exceeding these limitations are for the purpose of reselling the plot within 30 days of purchasing the plot.
* You are allowed to create a Real Estate Agency, but only provided you have passed the Entrepreneur exam.
* When conducting real estate agreements, it is highly recommended that a lawyer be present.
* Crafting specific items like coral blocks and gilded blackstone that are difficult to obtain through regular means.
* Reducing smelting times for materials such as glass, bricks, nether bricks, terracotta, and more when using blast furnaces, making crafting faster.

What Armourers Do
Armourers on DemocracyCraft have several essential roles:

* Crafting Weapons: Your primary task is crafting various weapons that are legal on the server. Recipe books containing the recipes for all the guns and ammo can be found in the government store.
* Selling Firearms: You can sell firearms in a chest shop. Utilize the <code>/iteminfo</code> command to obtain the name for the chest shop, making it easier for players to find your products. Alternatively, you can make the final line on the chest shop a ?, which you can right click with your held item to register.
* Understanding Firearms Laws: To ensure you stay within legal boundaries, you must familiarize yourself with the server’s laws regarding firearms. Possessing or selling restricted weapons can result in consequences. For example, being seen with a WMD can result in a $500 fine.
* Crafting Ammo: In addition to weapons, crafting ammunition is a part of your job. Ensure you have the knowledge and materials to craft various types of ammo.

Crafting
To craft a firearm yourself, you need to place materials in the right shape in a crafting table. Recipe books containing the recipes for all the guns and ammo you can make can be found on the second floor of the government store, which can be found in the town hall. Find the town hall by following the arrow after running the command <code>/gps start govshop</code>. Or, you can find recipes through the <code>/recipes</code> command, under the Weaponry tab.

To gather resources for crafting, you can either buy them from other player shops or obtain them yourself in the wild. Buying from other players is more expensive, but it's less time-consuming.

Recipe Examples
Musket Balls: 6 iron ingots and 3 gunpowder
