== Willow District ==
Willow Farming District is the property of the Federal Government. It may be run by a Federal Department or governed by a board of no more than three (3) members, comprised of ex officio members drawn from civil service positions relevant to the administration of the district.

Willow’s primary purpose is to operate as a farming district, providing accessible agricultural plots for players, particularly new players. To ensure plot rotation and continued accessibility, all plots within Willow located west of the highway must remain rental-only and shall not be sold or converted to freehold.

Willow '''is not intended to function as a commercial centre.''' Commercialisation within the district must be kept to a minimum and remain incidental to its agricultural purpose.

Reason:

* Willow has undergone several structural changes throughout its existence, most commonly alternating between a designated farming district and a highly commercialised area. However, demand for farmland remains consistently significant, and Willow is presently the only location where players can easily and affordably access farming plots.

* Previous attempts to commercialise Willow have resulted in underutilised commercial land within what is fundamentally an agricultural centre. These outcomes demonstrate that Willow functions most effectively when its primary focus remains agricultural, with commercial activity kept strictly incidental.

== Term Limits ==

Description: Either limiting an elected office by number of terms, or by allowing the presidency consecutive terms.

Reason:

* Two terms of up to 8 consecutive months (two 4-month terms) under one leader can create stagnation on the server environment.
* History shows that second and third terms often lack the energy and innovation of first terms, even when non-consecutive.
* Regular leadership change ensures fresh ideas and a dynamic government, in particular, it enhances opportunities for new players.
* Limiting elected offices may discourage long-term participation in the server.
* Players who are invested in government might disengage if barred from running ever again, reducing experienced contributions to the community.

== Deputy In-Game Roles ==

Description: With rare exception, deputised roles such as Deputy Secretaries will not be afforded visible in game ranks.

Reason:

* Visible roles, in-particular the Secretary tag combination, are already long. Adding a deputy to most tag would make it too long, especially considering Deputy Secretaries can serve in Congress. i.e. ‘[Rep] [Staff] Dep. Commerce Secretary Username’ is 45 characters alone (half of a chat line).
* In-game roles are only abbreviated in limited circumstances. Such a role would require abbreviation to allow for a viable visible tag combination.
* The role would mask other important roles that serve regular in game functions. i.e. Deputy Secretary of State might mask Sergeant or Doctor.
* There are 9 secretaries and each department usually has 2+ Deputies. This would lead to most people online having a secretary role of some sort which is masking other roles.
* Instead of a shown role there is now a hidden role, allowing the same perms as secretaries to be granted to their deputies.

* Donator areas involve the expenditure of IRL funds and therefore should be overseen by Server Leadership to ensure that any amendments to the area is consistent with what the server has committed to donators.

Description: That the spokes of the City’s road/path network remain.

Reason: To preserve the city’s design so that we don’t end up with a Manhattan grid-like, characterless mosh pit. Reveille is designed to be centred in a spoke formation with large thoroughfares running diagonally from the epicentre that is Spawn. This forms the ‘Triangle of Government’ which sees the three branches of government at each end of the triangle to symbolize the separation of powers.

Private Stock Exchanges represent a significant and dynamic industry within DemocracyCraft, providing players the ability to trade various financial assets such as stocks or ETFs.


== What Are Shares? ==

Shares are units of ownership within a company. By buying a share from a company, you are becoming an investor and a partial owner. If the value of that company increases, so does your share.

When it comes to trading shares, as a player, the principle of buy low and sell high is most commonly applied. Players will often try to invest into companies when the share price is low, and then sell when it rises.

Selling shares to players allows companies to grow and develop new industries. For example, if one company wants to franchise new stores in multiple towns but doesn’t have the funds, they may choose to list themselves on a private stock exchange in order to gain money to expand. From there, the company can utilize the invested money from stocks into purchasing new store space. This expansion of the company leads to the company becoming more valuable - and thus the shares becoming more valuable as well.


== Investing ==

Players can invest into private stock exchanges by joining their discord. Information on how to buy and sell stocks in that exchange may vary.

Most commonly, players can open tickets in the discord of the private stock exchange and request to buy certain shares. It should also be noted that:

* The rules and regulations surrounding stock markets may vary.
* Your money may not be guaranteed a return if the company you’ve invested in ceases to exist.
* You may not be able to sell your shares back directly to the exchange.

In addition, some private stock exchanges may charge fees on transferring or limits on activity.

Kaiserin_ became a lawyer almost immediately after joining DemocracyCraft, being hired as a paralegal at AlexanderLove's Dragon Law Firm the same day she joined the server. She would go on to skip most of her training, becoming a full associate on the 6 January, and take her first case with Alexander himself as her client in xEndeavour v. AlexanderLove [2025] DCR 1, which was later dismissed in the defence's favour and unsuccessfully appealed, creating Kaiserin's first legal victory. She became a partner at the law firm on the 17 January. She took on several more cases throughout the next several months, most prominently pertaining to defamation law, with clients including Vernicia and Plura72. She also gained experience in business administration and legal training, assisting in the training of many other employees.
